Google IO 2025 During the opening of about two hours, we got a great help of AI.
Google’s CEO, beautiful Pichai, and colleagues found a terrible much on stage, and while some things were mainly targeted in developers, there were very big announcements for us – people on the road – to find.
1. Google Beam: AI-Enabled 3D Video Calls

If you are someone who spends a lot of time on video calls for work, Google beam will be of interest. The beam is a “AI-first video communications platform”, giving you glasses-free 3D visuals.
With a beam device, AI will take your video feed and turn you into a realistic 3D video model. The result is an effect that you are sitting across the table from the person at the other end of the call, in which Google claims that “right near the right head tracking, below the millimeter, and 60 frames per second.”
You will need a dedicated hardware to take advantage of the ability to convert 2D videos into a 3D model (such as a screen equipped with six camera from HP in the above image), so the beam is not something you are using at home – at least for now.
All demo videos that we have only shown 1: 1 conversation, there is no mention on whether it can handle a desk to many people. The first Google Beam device will be available at the end of this year, so prepare yourself for 3D meeting makeover.
Google also discovered real-time speech translation for the beam, making users a flowing, natural interaction, even if they speak different languages.
2. Google AI Ultra: VIP AI Membership

3. Google Search: An AI change and a fun shopping facility
Google Search is getting a host of new AI features, with overraching joint ‘AI mode’, allowing you to ask more complex questions as well as follow-up questions.
Google claims that AI mode can handle any question, and it is eager to find what is in your brain. The AI mode becomes much darker than the traditional discovery when it looks for a reaction, and it also clearly examines its reactions, so hopefully there is no more hallucinations.
This idea is to search for you to provide you more complete experience, without the need to visit many websites. It wants to help you buy tickets for events and help you with restaurant reservation (through project mericious AI agent), school projects (with project estra integration), and even shows you what you will see in the jacket you are watching. Yes true.
‘TRAI on’ is a feature that will come in the coming months, so that you can upload a picture of the entire length when you tap on the ‘TRAI on’ button that appears on cloth images in Google shopping results.
Complex analysis and data visualization AI mode is later coming in this summer for sports and finance questions, not with the ability to display conclusions in AI-Janit graph, charts and more. In addition, the personal reference mode will come in AI mode in this summer – where the search will also be able to scan your inbox to provide more personal reactions.
4. Google Flow: AI-Accessful Film Production
Google announced new versions of its AI image generator (IMAGEN) and AI video generator (veo) during the IO 2025 Kenote, and these two systems are used in its new AI Film Production Tool, Google Flow.
Imagene 4 improves the company’s AI Text-to-Image generation, with the quality of the increased photo and increased processing speed. Large advancement here, however, has the ability to handle characters and text properly in images. Imagene can now formulate the text properly, and place it in intelligent places in its images.
Veo 3 takes Google’s AI video generator from the silent era and to the audio era. Now it is capable of adding background sound, sound effects and dialogue to the video generated from your signals.
You can use these AI models standalone, but Google flow brings these devices (with Gemini) to create a cinematic clip in a full package for filmmakers. You can also mix your own video clip and imagery to fix your composition with AI -produced content.
There are equipment to allow you to shorten the sections of the video, expand other sections by adding additional signals, and control the camera direction and angle for the best perspective in each scene.
Google Flow is currently available to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra Plan subscribers in the US.
5. Android XR: Smart Glasses are close to reality
Perhaps the most exciting part of the entire IO 2025 Keenot was towards the end, where Google focused on its Android XR platform for VR headset and AR glasses.
We have already heard about its cooperation with Samsung on the project Moohan VR handset, and Google confirmed on stage that its Apple Vision Pro contestant would be available to buy at the end of this year.
What was more impressive, Google’s Gemini-Interested AI was the live demo of smart glasses. We saw how Gemini was able to show the message, accurately identify the subject matter in a series of photographs on a wall, remember that the wearer bought his coffee that morning and provided instructions to walk back to the cafe, while creating a calendar entry and a friend to meet later in the day.
Google announced that the first partner to launch glasses with gentle monster and Warbi Parker Android XR – after Samsung.
It was a solid smart glasses perform from Google, and it seems that the technique is now within the distance of touching. We hope that Google will share more at the end of this year, as we are still waiting for the release date for the first set of glasses.
