Google on Tuesday announced in Google I/O 2025 that it was starting a Gemini integration in Chrome. Tech giant says the new integration will provide users access to a new AI browsing accessory that will help them understand a page reference quickly and achieve tasks.
In Chrome, it will be accessible through talking with Gemini typing or Gemini Live. You can start chatting with AI assistant by clicking on the Gemini icon in the top-right corner of your chrome window.
At the time of launch, integration will allow users to ask Gemini to clarify complex information on one page that they are visiting. It will also be able to summarize information.

For example, you can open a page that has a banana bread recipe and ask Gemini to make the recipe gluten free. Or, you can use Gemini so that you can help take the right plan for your bedroom depending on the status of light. Another use of another use can ask Mithun to create a pop quiz based on topics included in the web page that you are going.
From Wednesday, Google AI Pro and Google AI on Mithun Desktop in Chrome will start rolling out in the US, which use English as their chrome language on Windows and Macos. It will also be available for chrome beta, deva and canary users.
The idea behind the convenience is to provide easy access to users in Chrome, as Google is looking for ways to get people to use Gemini instead of Openai’s chat for such questions, inquiries and summary.

In the future, Gemini in Chrome will be able to work in several tabs at once. This means that you can find Gemini to do things like comparing two different sleeping bags that you open on different tabs. Mithun in Chrome will also be able to navigate websites on your behalf. For example, you can ask Gemini to scroll in a specific part of a recipe with a single command.
Google says that users can imagine Gemini in Chrome, which helps to automate their lowest favorite online functions in the future, given that it assumes that the users will be able to turn 30 min tasks into three-clicks.
