Google’s latest video-generation model, Veo 3, Google is coming in photos. The new model available on the Create tab of the mobile app, will allow users in the US to convert images into video clips.
The Google Photo provides video generations through its recently added “photo to video” feature, but the company says that in addition to VO3, enhances that functionality with high quality videos. The launch also shows how the company is working to bring its latest AI technology for consumers through its products – for example, in Google Photo was more than 1.5 billion active users by May 2025.

In May, it was introduced at its I/O Developer Conference, Google brought VEO 3, which added image-to-video generation to its Gemini app in July, making it available on AI Ultra and AI Pro subscription schemes. On those plans, users can generate three videos per day, which will lead to both visible and invisible watermarks to identify the video as AI generates.
In Google Photo, the company imagines users to bring memories to life, or even animating old photos. The existing image-to-video feature is powered by VO2 and allows users to select a photo from their gallery and select one of the two indications for “micro movements” or selects “micro-movements” or a surprising animation by tapping the “I am feeling lucky” button. The model then produces a six-second clip that you can share with others.
Google says that with Veo 3, this feature will be free with a limited number of available generations. AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers will have access to more generations. However, it will not support the audio and its videos will be four seconds long.
The new photo-to-video feature is available within the Create Hub, a new section in the Google Photo App, where users can detect creative equipment and features operated by AI. In addition to the Veo 3, they include a remix option to change the style of the photo; Make a collage; Put the Montazs together with your galleries; Moving, create 3D photos called “cinematic” photos; And a device to make GIF from Pix.
