As part of its Google Home event on Wednesday, the company unveiled a renewed lineup of the Nest devices – the brand of Google’s smart home security camera and doorbells – including a new $ 149.99 Nest Cam outdoor, $ 99.99 Nest Cam Indore, and $ 179.99 by $ 179.9.99. All devices are designed to show Google’s AI auxiliary Gemini AI in smart homes, and all three come with 2K HDR videos, a high-language format that distributes faster images compared to previous models and the highest resolution has so far sent by Google.
The company noted that it chose this sensor as it would offer the level of loyalty that its Gemini models can now use both and move forward as technology develops. Furthermore, it was wanted to ensure that the users would be able to zoom and see some extent – such as the license plate on an unknown vehicle outside their house, perhaps – with the desire that does not consume too much data.

In addition to 2K HDR, the cameras offer a wider and long viewing area compared to pre -devices. The new 152-degree diagonal visual visuals allow users to see what is happening. On the door bell, meanwhile, Google increased the field of viewing both, now 166 degrees, and aspect ratio to 1: 1, provides a more class image.
This should allow the device to see more detailed views, including a person’s head and legs standing at the door, and on the left and right, including the package on the ground.

A new sensor and comprehensive aperture also gives a better low-light performance to the cameras. Google says that devices allow 120% more lighter sensitivity than older models and can stay in full-colored mode for a long time in the morning and evening. And they will still offer infrared vision, which uses the heat signature to look at the night in the night.
In addition, when users are alerted to an event at the door, the preview images will now be zoomed to show whatever the alert will be triggered, which makes it easier to see. Or, if a user wants to permanently zoom his doorbell’s approach to a particular area, they can now zoom and harvest it so that it is fixed.
Gemini comes in smart nests
However, where Google is expected to compete against rivals, it is accompanied by its Gemini abilities and better baseline features.

For the beginning, it is doubling the history of its event for three to six hours on free tier. And, for every event that occurred in those six hours, users will attach a 10-second video. If users want more history, they can choose to upgrade 10 days, 60 days or other schemes.

Gemini comes into the game by making information smart.
Today, people receive dozens of information, when camera events occur, such as people detect, speed, packages are distributed, and more. But the burden is currently on the user to find out what matters and what not. Gemini, instead, will add more reference to these information.
For example, instead of receiving only a motion alert, you can find something that says, “Jump out of the dog plapen,” which you can then watch in a zoom-in video preview.
“Mithun is going to change Mithun,” Anish Kattukaran, Chief Product Officer of Google Home and Nest, said in a press briefing before Wednesday’s announcement. “Because Gemini is multi-model-and it’s a difficult problem, by the way … it is not just the address of the simple object-but because Gemini is multi-model, what it can do, it can actually pass through and interpret what is happening in the video,” he continued.

“Now we go by ‘detected’ or ‘package delivery’, who is placing a package on the porch and a package to go away to a fedex delivery driver,” Kattukarakaran explained.
In addition, a Google Home App feature called “Home Brief” will summarize the value of the last 24 -hour activity that you remember. This means that you can see which packages were distributed, whether it was a dog that knocked on the coffee table, which people shut down, or could be something else. You can also ask to abbreviate or reduce Gemini, or only focus on children or pets, or focus on something else.

You can ask Mithun at what time the children got a house from school, if the landslide showed, or if UPS came, for example.
Gemini will also help more people take advantage of more complex features, such as home automation – preset routine that automatically controls many devices – or better understand their energy use.

Instead of manually configuring automation, you can tell Gemini (even quite vaguely) that you want to feel safe in your house, and AI may advise you to close a routine and close the door or to turn the door to form a fake appearance while turning off and turning off the lights automatically.
The cameras come in plastic-free packaging and are available in new colors. The Nest Cam indoor (Wired, 3G General. $ 99.99) is introduced in snow, hazel and berry, while the outdoor cam (wired, 2 gene., $ 149.99) is available in snow and hazel and IP 56 is rated, meaning that it can scare the weather and heavy rain. Outside the latter, improved resin is also designed to offer UV security and better stability, Google notes for a long time.

For safety, a green light will still be displayed when the camera is doing video processing or streaming as before. Google additionally encrypted video, provides two-phase verification, and suggests that your video footage is never used for other purposes, such as advertising targeting or personalization.
The Nest Dorbel (Wired, the second gene, $ 179.99) comes in ice, hazel and linen.

The equipment is sold on major retailers and Google stores. Nest cameras are available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The new Nest Dorbell will be available in the US and Canada.

To attract a comprehensive consumer base, Google also participated with Walmart to launch a more affordable doorbell and camera, which was branded as ONN Indoor Camera Wired ($ 22.96) and ONN Video Doorbel Wired ($ 49.86). These offer 1080p live view resolution. A payment subscribe unlocks additional intelligent facilities from Gemini.

Nest Aware Rebrand as Google Home Premium
With this release, the existing Nest Aware subscription is being rebuilt as Google Home Premium, but the tier and pricing will remain the same. (Home premium standard is $ 10/mo, and home premium is advanced $ 20/mo.) The Google Home Premium will also be added to the Google One subscription without any extra cost. This means if you have Google ai pro tier ($ 20/Mo.), Google Home Premium Standard will be included in free, whereas Google Ai Ultra Users ($ 250/mo.) Will have access to Google Home Premium Advanced.

Finally, users will no longer have to switch between the Nest Mobile App and Google Home App, as all functionality is integrated into the home app. The Nest App will not go away immediately, though. Google says that it will first work to ensure that the nest users can original infections. (Read more about the new home app here.)
