Google on Thursday announced that it was rolling the new AI-operated defense to help fight scams on Chrome. Tech giants will start using their on-device large language model (LLM), Gemini Nano for the safety of users against online scams. It is also starting a new AI-operated warning for Chrome on Android to help users to know about spamy information.
According to Google, Chrome’s Chrome on Chrome provides the highest level of safety mode of chrome, which provides twice protection against fishing and other online threats compared to the standard safety mode of the browser. Now, Google will use Gemini Nano to provide increased safety users with an additional layer of defense against online scams.
Google says this on-device approach will provide immediate insights into risky websites to protect users from scams, including those who have not been seen earlier.
Google said in a blog post, “Mithun Nano’s LLM is perfect for this use because websites have the ability to overcome diverse, complex nature, which helps us to adapt to the new scam strategy faster.”
The company is already using this AI-operated defense to protect users from distant technical support claims. Google has planned to expand this defense to Android devices and even more scams.

For the new AI-mango warnings, Google notes that the risk from the scam sites can expand itself through notifications beyond the site if you enable them. Malibly websites can use information to try to scam you, which is why Chrome will now help you to be aware of malicious, spamy or misleading information on Android.
Now, when Chrome’s on-device machine learning model flagged a notification, as is possibly a scam, you will receive a warning. You can either uncertain or see the blocked material. If you feel that the warning was shown incorrectly, you can allow all future information from that site.
