The development of vibe coding and AI-operated coding platforms gave rise to another battlefield among technical companies.
In December, Google Related Jules, an autonomous coding agent that, as an experiment, may recover the bugs as an experogical manner. However, during Google I/OGoogle announced that Jules would now be available in beta.
With a wide release of Jules, Google autonomously holds itself as a strong contestant against the increasing number of AI coding assistants designed to write and fix codes.
Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Labs, told reporters in a briefing that Jules “will be available to developers to cure bugs, make tests, to help consult all the documents in the background.”
“People are describing apps in existence,” said Woodward. “It began as an asynchronous coding agent with the idea, what would happen, if you created a method where you can assign this agent for things you don’t want to do?”
Jules will be integrated into Github and Gemini 2.5 Pro of Google will be used. During the public beta phase, developers can access Jules for free but use limits.
Incredible and parallel
Jules operate unconsciously, allowing developers to assign a task, while they work separately on something else. It works inside a virtual machine, reflects functions and their arguments and even provides audio summary.
But Jules is not the only asynchronous and parallel task coding agent on the market, nor was it only declared in May.
Openi After the spread of rumors, surprised the industry by releasing a research preview of its coding agent Codex that the company will buy coding startups PawanchakkiCodex began life as a coding model, but has since been converted into a coding agent, which has been able to fix bugs in a separate sandbox, fix bugs and answer the codebase questions.
Codex was also behind the GITHUB Copilot, one of the first codes who completed the first code. Github Microsoft announced that this week a Github Copilot is working as incredible work similar to the agent, Codex and Jules.
The social media coding is interested in the upcoming weapons race around the agents, before Jules and Codex were fully released to the public.
These more autonomous coding platforms follow the development of “vib coding”, where the codes and applications are mostly generated through prompting instead of hard coding written by humans. The entry of large technology companies like Google and Openai in the region brings the most coding agents even more in the AI weapons race.
More AI-Trained Code
Even inside Google, Jules is not the only AI coding platform for the manufacture of jules. The Google Code offers Assist, AI Studio, Jules and Firebase.
The firebase declared in April allows non-corners to create applications and add AI features. Google updated the platform, adding a new AI workpiece to Firebase Studio and Firebase AI Logic to monitor AI use.
Firebase Studio, operated by Gemini 2.5 Pro, allows users to manufacture more sophisticated applications. Firebase AI provides a means of connecting features to Logic developers to the backnd of the app, such as authentication and identity. This allows people to check the token use or resolve delaying issues without the requirement of the third-party orchestation program.
Genin Banks, Developer X Vice President and General Manager and head of developer relations in Google, told Venturebeat that firebase separates themselves from Jules and other Google coding products and people living in the first place can experiment with creating new AI applications for coding.
“Google offers many amazing tools to help you with special parts of your stack. Therefore, for example, you can use Google AI studio, which helps to experiment with your AI, which is to detect the best customized signs,” banks said. “But the firebase is a single place that integrates all the things together, and it is the same place for full-stack developers and professionals, but there are also creators who are vibi coding.”
