When companies begin to take the first step towards AI adoption, one of the first pieces of advice they received is to address their data quality. However, another basic element that is often ignored, but is important for the success of AI Perinogen, is a network infrastructure.
In Cisco Live, ZDNET spoke with the Enterprise Connectivity and Cooperation Group with Airag Dhingra, SVP and GM, to learn more about Network Infrastructure Play in AI Revolution. Dhingra now emphasized the importance of taking action, as he does not see a future in which the network infrastructure may occur later.

“The reason is a bottleneck for the Network Infrastructure AI that you can already see the duration of AI agents,” Dhingra said. “Can you imagine that there are many agents that act like humans, at the speed of machines, and the scale of machines gives rise to more traffic.”
AI agents are showing everywhere
The era of AI agents that can work on your behalf is starting. An orchestation of AI agents will work together so that they can reach the same resources that humans do including web, youtube, and more. This will essentially test the network infrastructure of organizations, as it connects a large number of individuals, whether people or agents, dying for the same connectivity.
Result? When you go to a stadium, whatever you get is a similar experience in which many people are competing for the same service – delay and humiliated performance. Organizations should plan for this change, by ensuring that their network infrastructure can not only support more users, but also support a more complex and continuous load profile.
Beyond the prevalence of AI agents in the workplace, the model is being worked to demand more specific, small, cheap and less computationally. These developments are making it possible for these models that they can run locally on equipment.
Dhingra said, “They come together and carry agents showing everywhere in the workplace; it will not be just a data center.”
How can companies prepare?
When considering investing in network infrastructure, whether routers or wired access points, companies often see them as a short-to-time-term investment. Nevertheless, with rapidly growing AI development, it is changing. A Cisco survey It was found that 97% of businesses believe that they need to upgrade their network to make AI and IOT initiative successful.
“Organizations should think about the network infrastructure as an environment for AI capabilities,” said Dhingra. “You want to make sure that you invest now so that next year or after the year, it does not become a hurdle.”

Dingra encourages companies to look at the large picture and warns that companies can regret a purchase decision, which in a year or two, will not be able to scale to meet AI-Saksham Productivity Benefits companies, which companies are targeting. Instead, he said that this would benefit companies to purchase infrastructure which may be on a scale and may be flexible.
At the conference, Cisco unveiled its latest generation routers and switches, which is to maintain workplace AI change and workload. These include new versions of the Routers’ Cisco family, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, and 8500, as well as the new versions of the catalyst family of Cisco’s Ciscus Lan Switch, 9350 and 9610.
