Two hikers accidentally discovered a treasure in the Czech Republic. While walking in the forests around the Zvičina hill in the Crokena mountains near the border of Poland, he saw an aluminum can and an iron box spread slightly above the surface in a stone mound. Containers had a stunning classification of about 600 gold coins and gold artifacts. The discovery of this treasure of more than $ 340,000 has attracted the attention of researchers, questions about the origin of both coins and how they ended in such remote locations.
Detectation of coins
As Report By Wjtoch Braille, a number of coins from the Museum of Eastern Bohemia, most coins were mined between 1808 and 1915. They originate from the Austria-Hungarian Empire, especially under the rule of Emperor Franz Joseph.
598 coins cover a broad historical period, including France, Belgium, Ottoman Empire and currency of Russia. It becomes difficult to track how the coins were found where they were, or why they were removed. According to DailyMail, Petr Grulich, director of the Eastern Bohemia museum, said, “It is difficult to say whether it was a check, German or Jew Gold.”
Principle about hiding place
There are many principles and speculation about how these coins and artifacts were hidden in such a remote place. A theory suggests that the items were hidden during the capture of Nazi Germany of Czechoslovakia.
Following the 1938 Munich agreement, a large number of Jews and Czech participated in their homes in Annexed Sudateinland to avoid harassment. Some historians believe that during this time the treasure was buried in an attempt to protect the attacker from Nazi forces.
