What was your day work or primary business when you started your side hustle?
I was senior in high school when I started a nudesoxox. Growing up, I was always an entrepreneur and preferred to make and take leadership roles. In eighth grade, I became a licensed children’s yoga instructor and taught private lessons in high school, designing class flows and workout gear – now I make grip socks.

When did you start your side, and where did you get inspiration for it?
I came with the concept for Nudesox in 2015. As soon as I turned 18, I bought a domain name for Nudesox and legally filed a business. I always like to apply and dress outfits together, but I also give importance to my comfort. At that time, I did not get the ideal no-sock. They were uncomfortable, slipped, not cushions and did not even cover my entire leg. I was never a fan of colorful, visible socks and thought there were probably a lot of people who felt the same way, but still want coverage and comfort. It was a moment when I thought myself, Why has anyone ever made ethlecycure socks in skin tone?

What were some of the first steps you take to remove your side from the ground? How much money/investment was made in launching?
I am studying successful entrepreneurs for entertainment and will spend hours telling them how they were: I will read the article and watch interview and of course, lots, lots shark TankI was always fascinated by business and innovation. When I started a nudesoxx, it was a new category, so it was difficult to find a manufacturer who understood the concept. It took me full two years to get a nail and appropriate sample for a manufacturer. I started the brand with $ 10,000, and to date, Nudesox is completely bootstraped with no external funding. Whatever dollar I made, it went back into business to grow.
I am asking DM or email affects whether they want to try the brand, and it was well received; Many posted themselves wearing socks on their Instagram stories. Given that it was a novel product, many publications wrote about the company, which helped spread the term. I studied entrepreneurship at the University of Southern California, where I learned how to make succulent pitch decks and presentations as well as the importance of KPI and proper business management. The combination of my studies with Nudesox really helped to push the business and introduced me to a network of people who still support me and the brand.
Are there any free or paid resources that have been particularly helpful for you in starting and running this business?
When I started a nudesoxox, I trusted a lot on joining with a role model in the fashion industry. I will learn about their procedures and trajectory, linked the top fashion and linkeded messages in shoe brands and email officers. Networking is important, but it has an art. I always try to find coordination with people, before I reach them to ensure that the conversation is understood. If you reach people to put just a wide trap targetly, you do not necessarily do not get too much value or substance. It is important to be intentional with your outreach and shows that you care and have done your research. I also hear a lot of podcasts. I especially love NPR How did i make it With man. I am highly looking at anyone to start a business or just some inspiration.

If you can go back to your professional journey and change a process or approach, what would it be, and how do you want you to do it in a different way?
Take your operations down and find out which tools keep you the most organized and provide the best flow. For example, I have used many types of software to make challans, and it gets messed up when you have documents in different places. Having a centralized database is very important for record-keeping.

When it comes to this specific business, you should be particularly challenging and/or surprising that people who come in this type of work should be prepared, but not the possibility?
When I started a nudesoxx, I was too young, and there was much that I did not know about running the business or even the way retailers operate. It is difficult when you are learning, and when people know that you are in the learning phase, you often take advantage of it. It is important to walk in every room with confidence and certainty – do your research ahead of time, but not necessarily share your doubts or questions with someone. There are some select people you really trust – this is why it is important to have mentors.
Can you miss a specific example when something went very wrong? How did you fix it?
I had to pull my first purchase order of socks in 2018 because they would “slip.” My mistake was that I did not test the product at every situation and with various shoes to ensure that they conduct. The biggest mistake! Since that moment, every new SKU is worn, washed and tested several times with various shoes. I took that first loss and learned my lesson.

How long did you take to see continuous monthly revenue? How much did the side hustle earn?
Nudesox is a concept that I never gave, and it takes you just a big “yes” to pursue you. He is the power of one. We often hear about overnight successes or enterprise-supported brands that make it big quickly. I argue that it is equally impressive to advance something forward for years before a hit – proof is that the brand has an objective and is not in the equation. Persis and flexibility are two essential founding properties. During the Nudesox visit, our retail will look at thousands of dollars in the pop-up weeks, and now the brand looks over thousands of dollars with more orders and customers. All this is about time and product-market fit.
What does development and revenue now look like?
Nudesox is on track to sell socks more than 30,000 pairs in all sales channels this year. Strong partnership and distribution are important for scaling. We launched with QVC this year, and in our first show, we sold more than 500 pairs of socks per minute – it’s about nine pairs per second! It was a partnership that I always dreamed because it is an opportunity to visually present and share the work of Nedesoxx’s work as it becomes easier. Being on Live TV and performing the effectiveness of the nudesox increased sales and allowed me to connect with customers in real time. Creating a product that people wear every day and never knew that they have got a boost to the brand, especially now when we have the major distribution. Nudesox looks at highly returned customer rate and mouth organic term, so we are excited about future development.

How long do you spend on your business daily, weekly or monthly basis? How do you structure at that time; What does a specific day or week work look for you?
I work for about 75 hours a week including my weekend, and I start with an iced matka every day! Apart from Nudesox, I also work for Shopify, help brands on my platform migrating and growing. During the day, you will find me on the phone with traders interested in growing with the platform of Shopify. During the evening, you will find me discussing margin and retail participation on the phone with my manufacturer. I think it is complete to complete many things at a time, and the higher it is on my plate. Right now, I am working on scaling nudesox and designing new styles with more delivery channels. It has always been important to find coordination in my life. I chose to work for Shopify because the nudesox walks on the shopify, and I understand the platform and how it helps me run business personally. I like to join with other business owners and live in that world.
What do you enjoy the most in running this business?
I like to see every stage of its development and see new opportunities. Over time, you are being rewarded to see something you created to reach new heights. Running a business is dynamic and is constantly developing; There is never a dull moment. High high and low climb, but it makes me very happy to see the community of people who love and wear it daily. When people buy socks from our retail pop-up, I often look at them after days or weeks, which they wore a nudesoxxoux bought. It is always a good feeling to see people appreciating your product and knowing that it is adding value to their lives. This is a personal reminder that the cases I have created.

What is your best piece of specific, actionable business advice?
The best piece of my commercial advice is also personal advice. We talk a lot about love languages and not enough about learning language. It is natural to think how we like to “get” from others, but it is also important to know how to “” to “” from within. Spend quality time to know yourself and how you learn and absorb information. Think how you interact with people – is it a specific environment or a state of mind? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you deal with difficult situations? Whatever we do in life is the common divisor itself, so it is self-awareness that will make you successful. Once you do self-work, focus on solving the real problems that face people. What is the market there? Keep a clear vision on how you want to execute and show people whom you are ready to give to all of you before asking them anything. Finally, make sure you have an ex-factor. Does your business stand out, and does it make you the right person for it? In this way I started a nudesoxox.
