    • Atlasian has acquired the browser company, maker of arch and DIA.
    • The company’s new browser will be designed for knowledge workers.
    • Like the DIA, it will take advantage of agent AI to take action on behalf of users.

The race to build the next generation of web browser is getting hot.

The software company Atlasian behind Trailo and Cumin announced on Thursday that it had acquired the browser company, the manufacturer of the Dia web browser. The first unveiled in June, the DIA is a web browser that uses the AI agent system to interact with users through the natural language, predicts their browsing goals without specific indications, and draws information from the third-party app. The DIA is the successor of the arc, another platform created by the browser company.

Through acquisition – which Allegedly Cost $ 610 million-Etlasian aims to upgrade the DIA to the AI-managed web browser designed specifically for knowledge workers. The focus on personalization will also be focused: While traditional web browsers have historically required to navigate the vast expansion of the web on their own, the new browser will be made to understand the reference to the user’s search history and actively help them to reconstruct the information they see.

“This is the time for a browser that is actually designed for work-a browser that helps you do, not just browse,” Atlasian CEO Mike Mike cannon-Brox wrote in a company blog post“Knowledge workers require browser designed for their specific needs, not what is made for everyone on the planet. That is what we will manufacture with the browser company.”

    what to expect

In his blog post, cannon-Brux offered something secretly peeping into its company’s upcoming web browser.

For one thing, it will transform the tab into a “rich” icon with the attractive disorder on top of the web page, according to the blog post. In a small demo clip, for example, a Google calendar tab is shown counting minutes for a meeting.

The browser will also be made with “AI skills and personal work memory,” cannon-brux, seems that the browser will be able to take continuous action from the users based on its personal browsing history-something that can already do (with user consent). Atlasian did not immediately respond to an request for comment on how its new browser in this regard would be different from DIA.

According to cannon-Brux post, Atlasian will aim to marketing new, AI-operated DIA for businesses by insisting on security, compliance and top-down administrative control.

    Ai browser’s rise

Traditional search engines such as Google and Bing have long -standing algorithms, to determine which web content comes in response to users’ questions. But the ongoing rise of generative AI is re -shaping some fundamental mobility of how people connect with the Internet, causing a big change in the online search industry.

For example, Google responded to the viral success of Chatgpt by fusing its own big language model into its search engine, so that the user now see the AI-borne summation at the top of each search, above the long list of web links.

In October, Openai launched the CHATGPT search, which allows users to get an up-to-date web information through chatbott. Apple is allegedly planning to add AI features to the safari and is also rumored that AI-operated search startup, which has recently launched its AI-operated web browser, COMET, is in conversation to buy perplexity.

A common thread between all these efforts is that the growing belief that generative AI can enter a new discovery experience, in which users are not left on their own equipment, but can work with an automated side -by -side to find better information rapidly.
