How to close Gemini in your Gmail, Docks, Photos, and more – it’s easy to get out

Are you disappointed with Google’s insistence on injecting Gemini in everything? There is a way.

Too: Your Gmail Inbox now involves Gemini Summary by default – how to stop them

While some users enjoy AI features of Google that roll out every week, others have such things as they were before Gemini. Google somewhat secretly burys it under a setting called “Smart Features”, but if you know where to see, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Photos and every other Google product are an option to completely shut Gemini completely.

How to disable Gemini from Gmail, Google Docks, or Drive

Go to your Gmail account and tap or click on the setting gear. For some reason, I only found this setting in Gmail despite the fact that it affects the drive, docks, photos and every other Google product. If you check the settings in those apps, it is not the facility. It works from the browser version of the app or Gmail.

Too: 8 Methods Google’s Gemini AI auxiliary is becoming more powerful and helpful

    From Gmail Settings:

    1. Choose “See all settings”.
    2. Scroll under the “normal” tab until you see “Google Western Smart features”.
    3. Choose “Manage the workspace smart feature settings”.

Once you reach there, you will see two togles. The top is for a Google workpiece products, below another Google products that interact with the workspace data (eg map and wallet).

“When you turn on this setting,” a message explains, “you agree to using your field material and activity to personalize your experience in the field of google workpiece.” The message suggests that “smart features” include things like showing events from Gmail in your calendar (flight journey program, event tickets, and such) and individual content such as keyword tips and file suggestions.

Too: Gemini can now watch Google Drive Video for you – including working meetings

The third example is what we are doing: “Ask Gemini to summarize, create a draft, and find important information along with other Gemini for the workpiece facilities.” Togle that bandh, and now you will not have Gemini in any Google product. Warned: This means that you will lose other facilities as well.

When I tried this for myself, I noticed that the Mithun button was still in various products. If I clicked on it, however, Google inspired me to turn on smart features to get Mithun back. I did not pay attention to the suggestions of Gemini Summary in Gmail or any other Gemini in other apps. I could see everything, Gemini was completely gone.

How to ask Mithun in Google Photo

The only exception was Gemini in Google Photo. When I opened the photo app, ask that Gemini works normally. In Google Photo Settings, however, I found a togal to close Gemini in photos. When I did, the classic discovery became my only option.

Whether it is for privacy concerns, performance issues, sometimes AI’s inaccuracy, or just the desire to keep things that they are, it is good to know that Google leaves a way to get out, even if it is a little hidden.
