Apple’s high blood pressure detection facility may be the reason for learning about your high blood pressure. The feature is available on the latest lineup of Apple Watch, which was unveiled earlier this month by Tech Giants, but it is also available on later models that have been updated to Watchos 26.
Hypertension detection recently received FDA clearance, which validated the clinical capacity of the feature to detect high blood pressure in apple watch. In developing the feature, Apple used data from more than 100,000 study participants to understand the presence of high blood pressure in the body.

The detection of high blood pressure monitors blood pressure during the 30-day period to measure the amount of blood. After 30 days, the user receives a rating that indicates whether their blood pressure is above or not below the high blood pressure range.
This feature does not monitor daily or hourly blood pressure and cannot take transient readings. Instead, it is an identity mechanism that observes the activity of blood pressure as a long -standing. The idea behind the period of long surveillance is that reading one-time blood pressure does not have a complete picture of the health of the same blood pressure similar to the 30-day monitoring period.
Which watches support high blood pressure detection?
Apple unveiled the hypertension detection feature on the new series 11 and Ultra 3. This feature is also available through Watches 26. Smartwatch can be updated to the latest software, including the Apple Watch Series 9 and later, and Ultra 2 and later. Apple watches do not have this facility.

How to use high blood pressure notifications
An apple watch user will wear a watch for 30 days. After 30 days, the Apple Watch will inform them whether their blood pressure is within or above the high blood pressure range.
If their 30-day average is actually above the range of high blood pressure, Apple suggests consultation with a doctor to review the collected high blood pressure data. A doctor may suggest that the user takes daily readings with traditional blood pressure monitoring, as the Apple Watch-Mint cannot do blood pressure reading.

Apple Watch users can log down their daily diastolic blood pressure reading through the same high blood pressure feature. The Apple Watch users can export those logging in PDF to send a doctor.
