Pornhub is no longer available in some states.

Internet is changing rapidly, and its (rather large) is no exception to adult entertainment. Increasing number of porn sites of American states should now verify that their users are adults, which they need to present the ID or some other suitable method of proving their identity. Apparently, it is not necessary that everyone wants to visit an adult site every time.
In response, Pornhub, as well as other sites under its original company Aylo, have become a lot of darkness in these states in protest. For example, many users in these states are now searching for the best VPN (virtual private network) to install on their devices to still reach the site.
As the beginning of June 2025, 19 states have kept these age verification requirements: Louisiana, Utah, Mississippi, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, Montana, Northern Carolina, Idaho, Kansas, Kentaki, Nebraska, Indiana, Alabama, Oklahma, South Carolina, Tenaini, and Missouri.
Another five states will join the club in the coming weeks and months, including Georgia, Vyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota and Arizona. Bills are also pending in one Excessive 16 states: Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Iowa, Visconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii and Maryland. State level law on one side, Federal Screen Act (2025) can bring in country-wide measures If it passes into the law.
This is a shifting landscape, as laws are proposed and appealed in each state, and are the best resources to keep up to date discovered. Age verification provider association (Which are measures for age verification) and Free speech alliance (Which is against them).
On the one hand, it is argued that children need to be protected online from adult materials online, and on the other hand it is argued that children will find porn anyway – perhaps through sites that have low safety measures and rules around adult content than pornhub.
Louisiana exception

Pornhub can use La Wallet in Louisiana.

With this law, there are issues of the owner of pornhub owner Aylo that the age verification system is ineffective, and is an invasion of privacy for people aged 18 or more. Instead, the company is asking to verify the user’s age at the device level, perhaps through the app store managed by Apple and Google for example. MPs in Texas Users have already passed the law requiring app store to verify age before downloading Any AppsNot only people with age-stuffed materials.
Louisiana stands out as a state where the oil sites including pornhub, users are collaborating with an age verification system to keep adult content available. The system is known as La Wallet, the digital driver license app that is already active in Louisiana, and which provides strong ID verification. One of the reasons for keeping pornhub open to business in Louisiana is that La Wallet can function anonymously: it is like using a two-carnimate authentication code. Through this mechanism, Pornhub does not know who you are, but do you know that you have been verified as an adult through La Wallet.
For now, other states are lagging behind in introducing similar technology. They do not have either a digital ID system such as La Wallets, or systems that are not simple to use for purpose, or user are respectable to privacy. And so the stand-off is going on: both state governments and aalo want users to verify their age to reach pornhub, they just want to go in different ways about it.
How to see pornhub if it is blocked in your state
Whatever your situation on age verification laws, remember that the best VPN can connect your computer to a server in a separate part of the world – it makes it look as if you are really located elsewhere where you are really. So wherever you are, if you want to reach the blocked porn sites, then a VPN is your new best friend.
This is just the beginning, however, when it comes to the benefits of installing a VPN. These software tools hide your browsing activity. Generally, VPN makes you difficult to track, and gives you more security and privacy (although not total oblivion) online.
Keeping this in mind, Lifehacker has covered the best free VPN, best payment VPN, and best free VPNS for Android in the past, but I would like to highlight some recommendations here-if you want more suggestions for your internet browsing needs (related to adult site), then follow those links above.
