There is a lot to see, look and hear on the web. Completely using the bookmark feature in Google Chrome can be a real help in staying on top of everything.
Chrome is the browser I use the most often, and I found a large number of booked sites inside it: Long Reeds I want to go back to work once, news updates, gift ideas, apps to write for work, I want to see, important slack channels, and my job for my job. There are coordinated and available everywhere between all equipment.
If you have not put a deep dive in the bookmark feature of Chrome, then you can’t know what you can do with it, how can it save you time, and how can you bring any kind of order for your web browsing.
On the right to the right of the address bar in Chrome on the desktop, the Star Icon is to save the new bookmark. Click it and the current page is saved in the most recently used bookmark folder. You can also press Ctrl+D (Windows) or CMD+D (Macos), which is even easier. On mobile, tap on three dots at the top, then the Star icon (Android), or the three dots below then Add to Bookmarks (iOS) to save the current page as a new bookmark.
As soon as a bookmark survives, a small dialogue is pop up. If you need, or just click, you can use it to replace the bookmark name and folder Done move on.
More options can be found on the desktop by clicking on three dots (top right) Bookmarks and listsYou are able to connect bookmarks to this menu, and there is also one Bookmark all tabs The option, which saves every open tab (like tab groups, is easy if you need to do something else, but you want to be able to go back where you are).
On the same Bookmarks and lists Menu you can turn on and off the bookmark bar. The bookmark bar sits just below the address bar, and gives you another way to add the bookmark: draw the URL of the site that you are looking below in the bookmark bar from the address bar.
Bookmarks become very useful when they are well organized. You can launch full bookmark manager by clicking on desktop Bookmark By clicking on bookmark bar, or three dots (top right) and then Bookmarks & Lists> Bookmark ManagerYou can search here through your bookmark, and create new folders: click on three dots (top right), then Add new folder – And yes, you can put folders inside other folders. (This is also where you will find Export Feature, and this is a good idea that you export your bookmark as sometimes backup.)
Folders are an important part of keeping your bookmarks organized, and they are all accessible to the left of the bookmark manager page. Click and pull the bookmark to change their order, or to move them to various folders. Right-click on a folder to change or remove its name, or pull it over another folder to insert it inside that folder.
You can double-click on any bookmark to open it. To edit it, click on three dots on the right: You are able to change the name of your bookmark and change their URLs, as well as put them in different folders. If you right-click on the bookmark folder, you get the option to open all the links in different tabs-which the folder cannot make your computer very well when dozens of or hundreds of bookmarks in the folder.
The bookmark manager can also be accessed on mobile, although you do not get enough options to play with it. Tap three dots at the top (Android) or bottom of the interface, then select Bookmark To see the list. As long as you sign in with your Google account, bookmarks will be sinks between your equipment.

Chrome has other ways to work with your bookmark.
- Here is a clever trick for your desktop bookmark: Right-click on each bookmark in turn, remove the text Name Field fully every time, and click saveAfter this you will have a compact row of the bookmark icon that shows only favorons for each site (eg for purple v, RuckusThis is a clean way to insert more bookmarks within each access, and you can still tell what each one is.
- Some more you can try, it is to find directly through your bookmark from the address bar. You can see some bookmark results typing your search query, and you can also force a bookmark search before “@bookmarks” and a location.
- If you want to show a bookmark all the time, this is also possible. Click on three dots in Chrome for desktop, then choose Bookmarks & Lists> Show all bookmarksA side panel displays all your bookmarks: you can search through them, create new folders, and edit your bookmark from here (click on three dots).
- The top right corner icons, left to right, allow you to change the order of bookmark lists, switch between compact and visual view and edit multiple bookmarks at once. You can close the panel X The button, but if you click on the pin button next to it, you get a dedicated bookmark panel icon that is permanently available on the chrome toolbar, and will allow you to open it again.
This makes you hope what you can do with the bookmark in Google Chrome. And there is more, so it can be worth taking some time and looking around. This is not the most sophisticated of the system, but it gives you a lot of flexibility as to how you can use it and what is possible, so you can set your folders and shortcuts in ways that do the best work for you.
