It may not have all the features of Solo, but you can play free Rome Splitscreen in Mario Cart World.
Playing Mario Cart Splitscreen with a friend is the old tradition as time and the good news is that you can do it in Mario Cart World. The free Rome mode of the game allows two players to play Splitscreen, where they can detect the world and find some collective objects of the game. Starting a session is not straightforward, however, there is no clear option in the main menu.
Free Rome Splitscreen
The Mario Cart World allows two players to play free Rome Splitscreen. However, there are some limitations of this mode, for example there are no P switches to collect. Check us Mario Cart on World Map Shakemaps To help find everything. But for now, here are steps to setup Splitscreen Free Rome:
- Highlight the online play in the main menu
- Select 2P option
- On the next screen, press L+R on the controllers you want to use
- Press when you are ready
- Select Friends tab at the bottom of the screen
- Create a room and confirm your choice
- Both players can now choose a character and cart
The process is a bit complex, but it is handled through online play options in all the main menu. Select the two player button (2p) and then connect the controllers you want to use. On the next screen, select friendly options at the bottom.
