I am currently building a new house. This is my first house, and needless to say, I have a lot to buy over the next few months before moving in. That’s why at Cyber Week, I was scouting out the hottest sales among retailers for any smart home gear I could score big savings on (it helps me do this 24/7 as ZDNET’s deals and shopping editor).
Too: Skip the Frame: Hisense Canvas TV is the best art TV deal this Cyber Monday,
The Hisense Canvas TV fits the bill, and after a few days of deliberation, I added it to my cart, and scored this deal late last night. There are still plenty of other TV deals available, but if you’re looking for a TV with Art Mode, you should look no further.
Over the past few days (including Black Friday and Cyber Monday). Hisense Canvas S7 TV was selling at 35% discount at retailers like best Buy And AmazonDue to this, the price of 55 inch model reduced to only 650 dollars and the price of 65 inch model to 850 dollars, large size TVs are also discounted, but these two sizes (especially the 55-inch) are the ones with the best value. I’ve bought 65 inch canvas tv From Best Buy last night. With the $850 sale price, 5% cashback through Rakuten, and a $10 Best Buy Rewards credit, I spent only $798 on the Hisense Canvas 65-inch (excluding taxes), and I’m pretty proud of myself.

If you’re on the fence about purchasing this – I wouldn’t wait. These are the best prices we’ve seen in several weeks, and the lowest prices we’ve seen on a 55-inch model. And just didn’t check in a hurry. I asked other ZDNET experts (and my colleagues) for their thoughts before I started TV shopping this week, and the Hisense Canvas got great reviews.
Managing editor Kerry Wan reviewed the TV upon its initial release, and recommends buying it this Black Friday – over its rival – the Samsung Frame. Former editor-in-chief Jason Hiner earlier this week called the deal the best art TV deal of Black Friday and called it one of his favorite TV picks of 2024. Additionally, readers are excited about this proposal. The Hisense Canvas TV is our #3 best-selling TV deal of the past few days and our #5 best-selling TV of the year.
Like Samsung, Hisense’s Canvas TV is a QLED set equipped with a matte, anti-reflection layer and wooden border to make it look as close to a piece of art decor as possible.
In his review, Wan said that Art TVs are not ideal for users looking for top-notch viewing, but rather for those who prioritize aesthetics and design. The Hisense Canvas isn’t foolproof, but it’s a great budget option if you want the Samsung Frame look without the price tag. And in my own research, many customers prefer the Google OS that is the core of the Hisense Canvas over Samsung’s system. Van agreed.
Review: This Samsung Frame TV competitor has reached its lowest price ever (and it’s worth it after all)
“The Canvas TV experience is based on Google TV software, which I’ve heard more people praise than criticize. After testing a variety of operating systems, including Samsung’s TizenOS and LG’s WebOS over the past month, I can confidently say that Google TV is the best choice for most users. The software strikes the ideal balance of app availability, home screen layout, and user-tailored content,” he says in his review.

How I evaluated this deal
I rate this deal 4/5 for the significant discount on the regular price (and it’s the best price I’ve ever seen). Already at a competitive price point, this makes the Hisense Canvas TV a solid competitor to Samsung’s Frame TV lineup, which is typically more expensive. This is a great purchase for the holidays.
When will this deal end?
With Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us, I wouldn’t expect this TV deal (or many others) to last much longer. Holiday sales will return closer to the December holidays, but it’s unclear whether they will match these prices.
