Well, so “wasted” can be a tad on top, but my Z fold 7 highlights a problem with an ultra-light and thin approach to the design of 7 foldables.
I am finally with the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, swaping my Z fold 6 for my new siblings.
At the time of writing it, I have been using the phone for less than 24 hours, but I am already enjoying a big screen, better camera array and a UI 8 software upgrade. I, however, are not in love with every aspect of design.
One of my favorite use cases for the phone is as a stand for you. When watching a video on the cover screen, by beating it in V, the device will prophen itself so that I can watch the video, while I do something else – I use a lot while cooking and then dishes – and without the need to walk around without a phone stand.
If you are using an inner display, you can fly-fold the phone while playing a video, and some apps, such as YouTube, will take the video to the upper half of the screen, while offering video touch control over half below.
You can either do it with the outer face, but I always like to do the cover screen face down. I use a screen guards and usually use this version of self-affair while resting the phone on my desk, my smooth desk mats or monitor stand, so I do not have to worry about scratching the cover screen.
In addition, because the cover screen is flat, this camera-bump is more stable than being down, as the collision may give rise to some rocking.
Unfortunately, there is a possibility that the overweight is focused in that camera bump and being small, if you open a lot more to the Z fold the z fold in this way, the camera array will fall under the weight of gravity, forcing the phone to fully reveal and no longer.
What is more, the self-opening threshold (about a 135-degree angle with the screen) is at an exact angle which is perfect for my needs.
I am getting used to keeping the phone more closed – at a right angle or only in the past – but I quickly wanted to pick up on a stunning downgrade that I experienced in my initial test.
Yes, it is a supreme minor downgrade, especially given the reforms of the phone and it is a problem that I am already finishing, but still it is a disappointment.
