
As a fond Chawla iPad user, I am familiar with all internal conflicts who are familiar with the course through me when the battery is going to die. I like to use either iPad 11 or iPad Air to write and work, but I also use it to stream the content, play games and browse internet after work.
This appreciates me long battery life of iPad, yet my concern increases when I start getting ‘low battery’ alert without a charger nearby.

There are many things that you can do to enhance your iPad’s battery life that are beyond general advice. You can start with normal: Reduce the brightness of your screen and set auto-lock at a short time, which I will cover here. I will also cover other methods to expand your battery life, which is given to me for a few more hours of use from my iPad.
1. Lower screen shine
This is one of the first recommendations that you will hear anyone by suggesting to the preservation of your iPad’s battery life – and it actually works. Depending on your use, reducing the glow settings of your screen may offer you an additional use of an hour on each charge.

By doing this it also becomes easier on your eyes, reduces eye stress associated with staring on a bright screen for a very long time. This is the main reason that I prefer to keep my brightness low, but a long battery life’s perk makes it even more meaningful. The brightness of your iPad screen can be adjusted from the control center by swiping down the top of your screen.
2. Close location services
Location services can do extra work to your iPad, especially if you have enabled them for many apps. Closing location services for any app is a good idea that you do not use often, especially what you know that you will not use in the next or two days. Your battery cannot double life when closing your iPad location services, it may use a good half an hour or more.
To check and close your location services, follow these steps
- Go to your ipad settings
- Select privacy and security
- Go to location services

You can see which applications are in place of your iPad and can decide which people have to cancel it. Alternatively, you can close all location services completely, especially if you are using your tablet for work, streaming or playing.
3. Close wireless when waste
Closing your iPad’s Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and aircraft is a great way to increase the use of your battery, especially when your iPad is inactive. If you do not rely on your iPad for information, you can close all wireless settings before locking it and keeping it away, so it preserves more batteries than otherwise. This exercise takes seconds, but your battery can increase life by an hour.

Even if you do not want to close Wi-Fi, closing Bluetooth and aircraft helps. To easily switch these, swipe down from the top right of your iPad display, find your wireless options, and togle whatever you don’t need.
4. Limit your information
Many iPad users, including themselves, do not really require iPad information. Any information I get on my iPad also reaches my iPhone. I decided to limit my information in tablets settings to avoid unnecessary distractions and took advantage of the use of battery in addition to a few more minutes.
Limiting notifications cannot cause this to bring a big difference in increasing your battery life, but every time an alert comes, it brightens your iPad screen and pinges your battery. I also silence my iPad information, which are easily accessible in your iPad’s control center by tapping the top right and vine icon of your screen.

To close or limit your information, you can go to your iPad settings and select information. From there, you can discontinue information for apps you don’t use or for which you don’t just need a real -time alert.
5. Disable background app refresh
Many apps update to the background when they are not in active use. While some of them are useful, like messaging apps, others do not need to update in the background to be useful, as with streaming apps or games.
Many apps are not required to fresh continuously and just dry your battery, so you can go through the list and close them by following these steps:
- Go to your ipad settings
- Select General
- Tap on background app refresh
- You can either keep it only for Wi-Fi or for each app it can manually turn on or close it, it depends on how sensitive their content is for you.
6. Auto-lock your screen soon
Depending on the auto-lock time you use, an iPad can save a lot of batteries. The largest battery draw of iPad display tablets is one of the drawn, so it is best to keep auto-lock timer for the least time. Depending on your use of your use, you may probably be away with a minimum of two-minute auto-lock.

Just by leaving the screen auto-lock time for five to two minutes, your battery can increase life by half an hour per charge. Here is how to set your auto-lock timer:
- Reach your ipad settings
- Go to performance and shine
- Select auto-lock
- Choose the shortest time that suits your needs
I had an old iPad, on which I read the knitting patterns and dishes, so I deliberately set my screen to auto-lock. It clearly dries the battery very quickly, but it is a common use for an iPad. I only recommend that you change the auto-lock from one of the lowest numbers when you are done.
As a bonus, you can also check which applications are drying your iPad battery by going to your settings and looking at the battery. This will show you a breakdown which apps are responsible for using your battery, broken into percentage. It is a great way to target which apps you want to limit, disable, or completely delete, especially if you do not use them frequently.
