I found a video doorbell that records in 2K – and it comes with zero monthly fee

    Lorex 2k Wi-Fi Video Doorbel

    Key takeaways of zdnet

    • Lorex 2k Wi-Fi video is available for Dorbell $ 189.
    • The doorbell comes in wired and wireless installations, strengthens, and contains 32 GB microSD cards to bypass membership fee for local storage.
    • Although it has 2K resolution, the image is such a wide angle that the object looks deformed.

Video doorbels are one of the best ways to start your smart home journey. They are easy to use and are often easy to install, and provide very important monitoring. Although they may look scared to set for beginners, but there is a video doorbell option for all, whether you are looking for a budget -friendly option or simply a simple install.

After testing several video doorbell options, I have enjoyed being the latest Lorex 2k Wi-Fi Video DoorbelFor easy installation, I like a battery-managed option, so I found that one. Even more importantly, Lorex dug up the specific payment membership model for a flat hardware fee. Is it worth it? Let’s break it.

Your phone tells you who is at the door in real time and when you cannot give the door, I am able to talk to them, I tell you. Lorex 2K video Doorbel does this and does more, as it claims 2K video resolution with HDR, no monthly membership fee, and is a battery option with easy-to-install sets of the bracket to customize the area of doorbell.

Lorex 2K video was straightforward to set the doorbell, as I had chosen for a battery -powered model (also a wired option). I charged it for a few hours, added it to the Lorex mobile app, and installed the bracket where I wanted a doorbell. I already have an euffy battery video doorbell, so I set Lorex next to it to compare the images captured by both.

Once the door is installed, there is not much to worry about you. You can include your video recording that includes the 32GB microSD card and whenever you need to bring your doorbell to charge, close them. If you are using a wired installation, I will now keep an additional microSD card to swap out and then keep your video doorbell to record the events that matters to you.

It is also easy to use and navigate the Lorex app. This allows you to check your information, look at live feeds, change your doorbell settings, and check your event history. Lorex is a famous safety camera manufacturer, and the app lets you reach other Lorex cameras that can be at home at one place.

Also: I have now used the first outdoor camera of Acra for more than four months – here is my decision

The person in the doorbell also has to detect the person, making it easier to leave a false alarm, because when you crawl on trees in your video camera or air in your yard, you will not be informed.

The biggest problem with this Lorex video doorbell is that the image of good quality at 2560 x 1920 resolution looks deformed due to the 164-degree scene. This would be fine for more inexpensive doorbells, but should provide a better visual experience worth approximately $ 200.

People can look deformed in images, which is not a big deal. If you are at the door at the door, it bothers me to see that I start recording again. When compared to my euffy, Lorex feeds look slightly more spread than the video on the feed euff.

It also does not include a chime kit, which means that you have to buy it separately or abandon the battery facility and use it with the current wiring of your home to use your current chime box. Lorex chimbox A small, plug-in device is available for additional $ 50 that works with Wi-Fi.

Also: I cannot return to the rash night vision after testing this safety camera.

She said, Lorex 2K video Dorbel excels in daily use. This occurs firmly on time with real -time alert when someone is at the door and is basically integrated with Alexa. Therefore, we get information from our eco devices when someone plays the doorbell. It also has a small LED light that comes in the dark when you reach it.

The built -in LED is an underraged feature and one of my favorite. This is helpful when you reach home in the dark and use some glow to find your keys. I also like that it can stop the intruders, because the light changes when the camera detects movement.

    ZDNET purchase advice

Even if I am not a very big fan of wide-angle image, I capture me, I like a lot about it Lorex 2K battery video doorbellThe battery has excluded my euffy battery doorbell for the past few months and only needs to be charged every other month.

The Lorex 2K battery Doorbel is available for $ 150 and is the perfect video doorbell for anyone with the Lorex camera system in your home. It is also an excellent choice for a ring video doorbell, as you can enjoy many of the same benefits without paying for membership. You can also choose a wired installation option to use your existing chimes and expand internal storage with microSD card (up to 256 GB) to move it to the next level.
