Discover Weekly Playlist is one of my favorite Spotify features – but I cannot show off that it is always present. The taste of old music closed in the algorithm can easily disturb the week, and it is done without any time, which is sometimes served.
Therefore, when I love Spotify Distress Weekly, these are changes that I want to see to make it better.

Some user inputs- just a bit
A part of the surprise of the Discover Weekly of Spotify is that it draws to create a unique playlist packed with new music from your hearing taste profile.
For me, this means a weekly dose of new music that often hits the spot, and I will usually add some tracks to my existing Go-Two playlist, and perhaps favorite one or two. However, there are a few weeks when the option of running a weekly playlist in a certain direction will be welcome.
Now, in fairness, spotify is using it with it at the time of writing. Spotify’s June 2025 Discover Weekly Update introduced the idea of making your playlist Twickening.
Now you will also see a list of five styles above the songs, so that you can turn the playlist more as per your choice. Essentially, this means that now you have six different weekly playlists to detect each week. Which will be the (literal) music for the ears of fans of the convenience.
This is a good start. But I want to take that one step forward and there is an option to add mood filters to it, such as “chill,” euphoric, “” study, “and so on. And how to tongue an era for those weeks where you want to hear something new, say, since the 70s you have never heard of?
Another interesting way can spotify it. This is with the selection of random options related to your algorithm. Instead of a set list of six main styles, it adds six random options that throw something new. Or, how about a weight slider that pushes your algorithm to the artists with a certain number of monthly listeners or less.
As stated, Spotify is already experimenting with this feature, which I really am happy to see.

Why is this track on my Discover Weekly?
A feature that I want to see how Spotify decides which music it is giving you each week.
Spotify discovery is a black box, like the weekly algorithm, other algorithm-generated playlist of the spotify. This is great when your search appears to be a weekly playlist, but it will be amazing to know Why Some tracks were chosen.
Discover Weekly uses a series of various signals to populate your playlist: vested behavior, playlist graphs and groups, global hearing history and links, collaborative filtering, and so on.
However, it would be great if you can hover on a track and see some information about why it was chosen – the strongest sign that pushed it into your list.

Easy option to remove styles from taste profile
Your spotify taste profile is what your search guides the weekly playlist. It is a developed set of data that Spotify uses to serve new music for you, every decision you make to refine it better.
How well the taste profile works depends on your hearing preferences. Spend a week to listen to the dubusp, and your search is likely to assume weekly that you are eager to hear more. But we are all there: this brief tenure to obscure Brazil’s hip-hop was fun, but it was just a stage.
Therefore, it would be great to have an option to remove specific styles from your taste profile.
It is worth indicating that this functionality is present in the spotify. Exclude your taste profile The button is available on most Spotify Playlists. Before you start playing the niche taste of the week, select this option, and Spotify will ignore it. It works – but you have to remember that you want to do so for each playlist you switch. And, I do not know about you, but I definitely don’t always consider that I do not want it in my taste profile.
The option to remove some styles, songs and styles from its Discover Weekly would be another welcome.

Search my past show weekly playlist
Your Spotify Discover Weekly is a one-off playlist, which is generated each week. If you want to keep a special week, you have to create a new playlist with all the songs on it. This is not a tax process; It is easily done to create a spotify playlist.
But it would be fantastic if the old Discover had the option to return to the weekly playlist. You can see the songs that you liked earlier in the month or year, creating a small personal collection of your unique Discover Weekly Playlist.

Let me do this rate
You can run your Spotify Discover Weekly Playlist and add them to the list of your liked songs. But the option to give a proper rating to the Discover Weekly Playlist would be an easy way to provide specific response to that weekly to provide service.
The introduction of a weekly rating will help to improve each week and improve your playlist.
I will be a little worried that Spotify will explain it as a message to focus repeatedly on specific styles, but is another way to indicate their approval (or not) for the audience.
