So as you have seen, I can put RTX 5060 in both the Computex 2025 – Desktop and Laptop version here through its pace. And, in my opinion, they are better than you.
If you have a 40-series card/laptop, there is nothing worth upgrading, but you already knew. And some recent reviews agree with me about the price-to-demonstrations.
Because at the end of the day, for some cheap, the AI trickry is always going to be the name of the game. And most people are looking at 5060, who will be the first timer who just want to know “Will it play my games well?”
The folk like my comrades, who, lure to talk to me about the GPU in the bar after watching supercar RTX 5090, but in 5060 walks at the dealership with more functional (and cheap) station wagons in 5060.
But this does not mean that I do not see comments and emails from people – saying “How do you praise RTX 5060”. … not good In fact As this reader actually said, I cannot repeat for the risk of knocking the site from Google Search!
I wanted to push it forward, to give a clear picture of what I saw, and in reality I try to return what I am saying. So I turned to MSI, secretly grabbed A16 and benchmark it properly to give you some more specific data where it sits throughout the GPU ecosystem.

Laptop manufacturers are coming to create all types of 5060 systems – to go to the slap of Asas Rose Zafiras G14 in more premium shells (with equally premium price tag) Big On screen with the aforesaid A16.
But these come at a price that keeps them far away on the MSRP fixed by NVIDIA, so I have done research and found the best value for money options.
Breaking data
So let’s join it. Along with 5060 -to give me as much transparency as possible, it also has 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB SSD, and an AMD CPU, which I do not have to talk about (yet). So let’s join it.

As you can see, you are getting 15-20% improvement on RTX 4060 laptops, and even more than 3060. It also fits logically into the RTX family, with it tucking about 20% behind the RTX 5070.
And this DLSS is also before applying goodness, and when multi-frame genes are included, this number can easily reach 150 FPS vs. 60-70 FPS that you see on 4060 systems.
But when you put them directly in the face-off, a similar blackwell architecture with 50 to 40-series is added to those small benefits.
Why all doubt?
When I read the comments and emails I receive, honestly, I get it. And it comes down to some strange behavior of Nvidia when working with the press.
I understand the disappointment around not issuing full 5060 drivers until the card is launched, and what can be played in the initial preview and what cannot be tested, specific control over what can not be done.
This will leave to feel more suspicious about the claims being made to the gamers, and when you show comparison with unclear assignment, further doubts ignite.
Then there is a big question about what kind of company Nvidia is. With its GPU AI Powerhouse, Team Green has found itself the only seller in the city of pics and shovels for this gold crowd-Opeanai and Meta became a fast 3.2 trillion-dollar company while presenting the choice of Meta.
In fact, gaming is only 8.7% of the total revenue of NVidia, while about 90% of pie comes from its data center technology.
And this axis was also on complete performance in Computex. Huang spent about 45 seconds talking about RTX 5060, which is the remaining 90 minutes of AI, before proceeding on the talk of robotics and data centers.
However, Because a company has a big moneymaker, it does not mean that it will not try, and we can still brighten the data-powered information from the clarity of the picture before us. And this picture is slightly more optimistic than you think of strange comes.
8GB and all, it is a strong lower-middle range GPU that unlocks some smooth game performance and leads the path for DLSS to the center stage as the gameplay improves.
Should you buy RTX 5060 gaming laptop?
When I say it is a top pick for most people, I mean. But of course there are some conditions that I will get out of happiness.
- If you already own a RTX 40-Series laptop: Do not upgrade! These benefits are not worth leaving money again. Wait for the next gene, which should bring a new architecture with it to promote another serious speed.
- If you already own a RTX 30-Series laptop: If you are on anything less than RTX 3070, there is a case to be made here for a smart purchase. Going to Blackwell and getting additional DLSS features will increase some good speed.
- If this is your first gaming laptop: This is a solid starting point for some smooth gameplays that will only improve because more developers add DLSS 4 to their game – something that is asked by a representative in Nvidia, you accelerate a significant margin in the next few months.
In this way being smart with your money at a time is always the right thing, and 5060 is not going to purchase smart for all. So certainly those who know about one or two things about the GPU, and have a direct interaction with much more powerful systems, it will be closed.
But I am not talking to them, I am talking to you – gamers who are religiously clung to an old laptop, or who are tampering with the idea of buying your first portable system. For you, depending on the numbers I am looking at, you cannot be very wrong.
