I was sure that my Samsung phone battery could no longer live with my routine. But after disabled these unseen settings, it lasts easily for the whole day.

    8

    Always perform

For some time, I thought that always any power is always used. After all, this is just a slow clock on a black background, right? However, when I checked my battery usage figures, I found that it was quietly dry every hour when I was not using my phone.

Always-on display is enlightened part of your screen-and awakens the processor slightly-to show the status of the wage, information and battery. This is useful if you constantly look at your phone, while it sits in your desk or so on. But for me, it was not worth the stable drain, so I decided to close it.

If you want to do the same, open settingtap on Lock screen and AODChoose again Always performFrom here, you can close it to disable the feature.

But if you find AOD assistant and do not want to lose it completely, you can adjust when it shows to reduce the battery drain without leaving the feature. Below When to show Section, you will see some options:

    • Tap to show: The AOD is on only when you tap on the screen.
    • Auto: Until your phone finds out that you are sleeping, it is down, or in a dark place and has not gone for five minutes.
    • Always: Leave it at 24/7, which consumes the most battery power.
    • As scheduled: Only during the hours set by you, such as during work or when you wake up, show.
    • For new information: This only lights up when you receive a new notification.

Customizing AOD in Samsung Settings menu

If you still want to get a quick glimpse at that time, Tap to show Or As determined Gives you the best of both worlds.

    7

    Ram plus

RAM Plus looks like a performance booster. Samsung says that it uses a part of your phone storage as virtual RAM to help with heavy multitasking. But in fact, I do not run a dozen apps at a time. Instead, it was just using storage and creating additional background processes that cost the battery life.

To close it, open settingScroll down Device careTap again MemoryHere, you will see Ram plus on the bottom. Tap it, and you can close it completely or reduce its size.

Disabled Ram Plus will not remove any data, and you will probably not see the difference in everyday use. But it can reduce the background load on your device and give you a little more battery life each day, especially if you do not need that extra virtual RAM.

    6

    Nearby equipment scanning

The nearby device scanning Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning keeps active to find nearby devices, even if you are not actively connected to anything. It is designed to pair rapidly with headphones, watches or smartths devices.

But for me, I barely connect with new equipment during the day. My phone was thus scanning in the background nonstop, using battery power without any real reason.

If you save battery life, turn off this feature. In setting Menu, tap ConnectionAnd then choose More connection settingsFrom there, you will get the option Nearby equipment scanningClose it until you clearly open those menu, and your phone will stop scanning for nearby equipment.

Closing it will not affect your existing Bluetooth connection. Your headphones, watches and other devices will still be added as usual. The only difference is that your phone will not continuously discover battery power.

    5

    Bixby voice wake-up

I have never been a big bossby user, so I didn’t realize that it was always listening and waiting Hi, Biksbi Wake-up command. This means that the microphone remains on, and background processes continue to run, reduce your battery over time.

If you never use it then you can turn off the bixby. Alternatively, closing the voice wake-up can save the assistant to save some power without completely losing. You can still use Bixby by opening the app manually or pressing the side button whenever it needs.

To close it, open settingScroll down advanced featuresTap again BiksbiNext, select Voice registration And stop Sound,

Once you do this, Bixby stops listening all the time, which gives your battery a small but noticeable break. And if you ever change your mind, then take some tap to turn it back again.

    4

Keep on screen while watching (smart stay)

Samsung’s smart stay feature maintains your screen as long as it sees you. First of all, it looks great because it prevents the screen from reading or watching something, when you are looking at anything, to touch it every time to touch a performance.

However, to do this, the front camera of your phone scans to your eyes, which uses additional batteries. And if your screen timeout is already set on a long price (eg five minutes), the smart stay can maintain your display even longer.

For example, if you are reading an article and smart stay is active, the screen remains as long as you are watching. But if it doesn’t find you (perhaps you are holding your phone at an angle or taking a look away), it will not stop immediately. It waits for a full five -minute timeout before going to the dark. In both situations, the screen lasts longer, quietly dries your battery.

To close this facility, go to setting Tap more DisplayThen, navigate screen timeout And find out the labeled option Keep on screen while watchingClose it to stop your phone by using a camera to track your face.

I set my screen timeout 30 secondSo my phone stops quickly when I am not using it. If I am reading something long, I sometimes tap the screen to wake up. But if you often read articles or documents for long stretch, you may prefer to stop smart when setting a low screen timeout as backup.

In this way, your phone remains when he is watching you, but it will not ruin the battery for a very long time if it fails to detect your face.

    3

Motion gestures (lift to wake up)

When you pick up your phone, lift your automatically to wake up. This seems convenient, as you do not need to press any button to check time or see your information.

But this feature keeps your phone’s motion sensor active throughout the day, which uses additional batteries in the background. It can also turn on the screen when you do not need it, such as when you are simply adjusting your phone to the table or picking it up somewhere.

If you do not need this facility, you can close it. Open setting Menu, tap advanced featuresthen go to motions and gesturesHere, you will see LiftClose it, and the screen will only turn on when you press the power button or double-tap it (if it is capable).

    2

    Dynamic lock screen

I loved the dynamic lock screen because whenever I wake up my phone, it updated my lock screen wallpaper with new images. It felt refreshed to see something different every time, whether it is a beautiful landscape, calming the shots of nature, or a calm artwork.

However, behind the curtain, this feature uses background data to regularly download those new images. Although it cannot be a big drain in itself, every such type of background process combines in this way, especially if you are already trying to preserve the battery of your Android phone, although you can.

To close it, open settingTap Wallpaper and styleChoose again Change wallpaperScroll Wallpaper services Choose more nobodyThis will prevent your phone from downloading new images in the background.

I swung on a single stable lock screen wallpaper instead. My phone still looks good, and now I know it is not using additional batteries or data so that I just look for a moment.

    1

    Ban background data and activity

Among all the twices made by me, this had the biggest impact on my battery life. Many apps run background data and activity, even when you are not using them, sink and update. For apps such as email, messaging, or maps, this is necessary. But for random shopping or news app, it is useless.

To manage it, I went settingTap AppsAnd each app was reviewed individually. Under BatteryI changed their background activity setting forbidden Preventing them from running unnecessarily wherever possible. (Keep in mind that this can prevent information and other behaviors of the app from functioning properly.)

For background data, I opened settinggone to ConnectionThen data usageAnd tapped Mobile data usageFrom there, I selected and closed non-essential apps Allow background data use So they would not use data when I was not actively using them.

Since making these changes, I have seen very little unexpected battery drop throughout the day. When I open them, all my apps still do well, but now they are not constantly checking for updates or running processes in the background when I don’t need them.

With these changes, your Android phone will continue for a long time while traveling or just during your everyday routine. Tweak may not take too much, but together, they add additional batteries up to possible hours of life. If you are flowing faster than the battery on your phone, try to close these settings to see if it helps.

And if you want to get more from your battery, turn on the battery saver when you know that you will not have a charger. It slightly limit background activity and performance, but when you need it most, it is a solid option to spread your battery life. Just keep in mind that you should not run battery saver 24/7.
