Not everyone is going to find RTX 5060 riveting, especially from a glasses point. But, as someone who was born in the fire of entry-level PC gaming, I am always eager to see what the cheapest graphics card can actually do under $ 300. It would be an understanding to say that the budget GPU is difficult to find in 2025, so when Nvidia asked if I want to try cheap Blackwell GPU before my official launch, I was very keen to dive.

Naturally, I will not be able to share any RTX 5060 benchmarks or figures before launching with you. You will have to wait for my complete review for those important performance bits, and they will eventually determine whether Geforce Card is worthy of a place on the best graphics card table. I like to test at least one week testing the GPU, which is to get a reasonable feeling in different types of demands whether they provide the actual value. But before I reach it, I want to chat about a few hours that I have spent with the Blackwell Card with Doom: The Dark Age.

Bethesda’s shooter admits that Ray Tracing is cooked in his Idtech engine. You probably think that such settings would dramatically retrieve the maximum frame rate, but the fact that I was able to play dark ages of over 500fps at the time of launch using RTX 5080 Quash, the idea completely Quash the idea. The RTX 5060 is a bit of a separate animal because it only claims 8GB VRAM and is a much more modest GPU, but I can confirm that it looks great on my current best gaming monitor pick, LG Altragaire 32GS95UE-B.

Again, I will share a lot of figures in my final RTX 5060 review, but since I am going to sign off for the weekend, allow me to chat with my first few hours with the card. I will eventually test GPU on 1440p and 4K, but since we are talking about an entry-level model, I have kicked things on 1080p for now. Since I have still got a high refresh rate monitor in my mind, I am also playing with DLSS 4 quality mode and an ultra nightmare settings with X4 multi -frame generation.

Now, keep in mind that this time, I was using a RTX 5080 to hit a silly high frame rate at 1080p. Around this time, I have decided that I want to see that the new 60-class GPU can get back without dialing the settings, as many players taking this card are going to use full HD display with very high fresh rates. What I am seeing is if I can detect a performance difference between two setups, before I reach the benchmarking too, as it can support the idea that RTX 5060 packs a plentiful punch for 1080p players.

Immediately after leaving Dumslair’s shoes once again, it was honestly felt that I was still using RTX 5080. I was last using DLSS 4 in ‘balanced’ mode, which is in the name of killing the extreme frame rate while preserving the fidelity, but switching into quality mode actually helps in the effects of RTX 5060 pumps and effects.

Starting again through the introduction of the fair shooter, I was not able to smell any notable frame dips or lag compared to my previous plane. This naturally inspires doubts within me as some kind of business usually stops when using tricks promoting performance, and this was motivated to tip me again in the same area through the same area, so that carefully fine details and textures could be carefully tested. I have noticed that AI upscares disturb the complex lines, forged fences and other small elements, but even the chains caught in the distance were defined far away with X4 MFG.

I eventually charged an enemy to charge, which looked slightly blurred than expected for a brief moment. This is something that I raised while playing with DLSS on RTX 5080, so it may be that the multi -frame generation struggles slightly with more wide enemies. Would I have noticed it or would have taken care of during a normal plane? Probably not, but it is a reminder that these devices are not completely devoid of cavets.

I am careful that playing at 1080p in 2025 seems a little ‘meh’, even though scaling back resolution means that you can embrace the speed of the panel rapidly. Therefore, I will actually expect to make my grip on RTX 5060 to 1440p and 4K, especially if the DLSS 4 is on. If playing on full HD is anything, to feel purely, I think it will be quite easy to hit more than 60fps in new release using multi-frame generations.

And, if you are jumping with old cards such as RTX 2060 or even RTX 3060, the performance jump is very wild. I actually used an RTX 3070 rig for settings tests a few years ago and found that 1080p was sometimes a little more for shooters similar to the doom: The dark era, so it is very refreshed to find out that you can play speedy FPS game on a new 60-class card, even if DLSS 4 is required.

Whether or not the RTX 5060 will be perfectly worth buying, it depends on my final benchmark and other important GPU tests. Experiment in doom a few hours: The dark edge is not enough to determine whether a graphics provides the correct level of performance, especially if there is a significant difference between sub-$ 300 cards and Nvidia Geforce RTX 5060 TI.

That said, I feel optimistic about RTX 5060 and, while, being a comprehensive conversation about being dependent on devices like DLSS 4, to complete the minimum glasses, I happily performed through the shooter’s entirety today, without feeling a foam or vibe without any performance, I was shut down without any performance.

Keep it in this way – I have a sail that especially uses a RTX 3060 laptop to play everything and never sees settings or frame rates. When he sees what NVIDIA’s $ 299 GPU can do, I suspect that he may think about the manufacture of RTX 5060 pcs as an upgrade.
