Looking at the smartphone throughout the day can make the eyes tired, and over time, I have adjusted discomfort, but TCL’s NXTPaper technique is made for tired eyes like me. TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G The company is an affordable effort to relieve some of the stresses coming from the modern smartphone screen.

This is a unique trick for a very inexpensive smartphone that must be seen to understand. While away from the right, and of course a device designed for a value, it brings a discrimination that matters to some users who are looking to relax their eyes, while they scroll or read.
A unique multi -faceted performance
The display is one that immediately separates 60xe. TCL’s NXTPaper 3.0 matte coating gives a unique unique finish to the glass that I like a lot. The on-screen material looks slightly like an e-Ek, which is based on mode in the phone, but a standard under that blurred layer is a standard 1080p, 120Hz LCD panel.
The coating addresses a group of common downside of modern performances. It reduces blue lights, cuts reflections to almost nothing, and even eliminates most fingerprints. There is also a good texture that feels a bit like a paper, which is a good departure from the sea of shiny, reflective display.
Below the power and volume button is a physical Nxtpaper key, a plastic switch that I like, seems a little cheaper than. Flipping the switch offers a menu of separate mode that changes how the display operates.

TCL clearly wants users to notice and appreciate this feature because each togle is completed with an unpleasant ceremony in full-screen animation of five-second. I made sure to mute my volume so that I could avoid dramatic effects.
Each mode provides its turn on purpose and comfort. Color paper mode, my favorite, mutes colors while maintaining a standard Android interface that is easy on the eyes for the entire day’s use. I also enjoyed watching YouTube videos in this mode, although everything seems to be slightly flatter than my eyes.
Ink paper mode moves one step forward, snatches color from the icon and the text for the no-frills Grassscale approach, while still provides complete unpublished Android experience. Max ink mode is the most dramatic change, which separates all colors, while the apps limit to a small mastery and suspend certain background processes.

The result is an ultra-minimal, battery-saving mode that can last for more than a week on a charge. I enjoyed this mode to read e -books and could see it as a great solution for users looking to cut on the use of smartphones perfectly.
The display comes with a major warning. In the most bright days, matte finish all wash the screen material, often make it directly unusable in the sun. If you spend time out of reading or working, you will look for shadow as I was.
Performance and battery
Performance is modest but serviceable, a MediaTek Demistance is paired with 8GB RAM with 6100+ processor. In use, it is not a phone for hardcore users that push their devices to the extent. I saw that there was a slight delay in many tasks with him. It takes a few seconds to interact often to launch the camera.
General tasks like web browsing, email and messaging are responsible for keeping me happy, but things never felt stupid.
On the software front, 60 XE runs Android 15, with only one upgrade TCL to Android 16 and a promise for two years of safety patch. As is someone that always reduces the poor state of Android OS updates, it is a weak point, and TCL needs to pursue its game. Anyone expecting to get long -term value should consider other options.

I found that the battery life is a highlight, which is not surprising that the 5,010mAh battery has been hidden inside. I regularly made through the day through the day with a capacity of 20-30%. Word charging tops at 18 watts at a slow pace, so the top-up of the early day will take some time, but it is fine for plugging overnight.
In fact for battery paranoids, Max ink mode that jumps battery life for more than a week if you are able to enable the phone.
Stay for performance, but no camera
Plastic marble-like backplate surrounds a large spherical camera array that is difficult to recall and perhaps more premium-dictation than its price point. My pet is an off-center camera module, and this phone has a remarkable voblle when it is placed on the resulting tabletop.
The camera system itself is an area where low-end cutbacks show really. The main sensor makes its best outdoor in very bright conditions and requires a lot of light to help the shots carrying indoors. The camera performance is of average with a soft output that lacks punch and definition most of the time.
The low-light condition easily displays the baseline potential of the camera system, and ultravide lens is often the result of granular images. The 32MP front camera works, but it is about it. Let us say that this sensible camera is not a phone for buff.
