I write this review after a few days of Spain and Portugal electricity blackouts, it showed how much our social power is dependent on electric power. Blackout, perhaps the worst in recent memory lasted for 23 hours in recent memory. People were desperate to operate small electronic devices as one of the largest sales items at the time of the portable power bank.
However, even these small power banks only have only 10,000mAh in 10,000mAh and can only contain power equipment that often uses a form of USB charging. It leaves anything running on 240V main electricity, such as fridge and freezer without electricity.
After reviewing the best portable power stations from separate brands over the years, the famous mainstay of the industry here was a copy and paste with some twice and features. Almost all of them were often accompanied by a status screen with a large box -like design, separate power in and output and perhaps an app. Portable only in the sense that you can pick it up and close it elsewhere, but some of them were heavy and were pushing in weight to 20 kg north.
Jerry Solar Generator 2000 V2 is not almost different, except for this package you not only get portable power station, but also get a portable solar panel in the form of combo, although both are available for separate purchase, which are available to buy Jerry Explorer 2000 V2 Power Station and Jerry Soller Power.
We start the Jerry Explorer 2000 V2 portable power station part of the combo.
Jerry Explorer 2000 V2: Portable Power Station
Packaging
Starting with the Explorer 2000 power station, I opened the cardboard box to present with an orange box and auxiliary bridge-out handle, removing it was given us a good orange box, the way you look at the shop shelves, so that you bring the product to the market.
The previous part of the box suggests that this power station has a capacity of 2042Wh or 45.6Ah, which is from its lithium iron phosphate (LIFEPO4) cells, its and output rates and some basic specifications.
By opening this orange box, we only get the goods trays with AC power cable and manual. I want to indicate that I was very impressed by orange box packaging using only a strong corrugated cardboard with a felt liner, no plastic in this box.
Power station
Once when the power station was removed from the box, I saw its dimensions about the same size and other power stations, which I reviewed in the past.
A quick visual inspection, I noted that all the output ports are in front, the sides have ventilation slots with AC and DC input port to the right. The back was plain sev for an information label and had large, wide strong rubber legs below.
A remarkable feature was a large carry handle at the top, possibly one of the best ones I saw at any portable power stations because they are heavy with Jerry weight in 17.5kgs (38.6Lbs). The handle can be overcome if not in use.
We will start discussing the output port, which can all be found in front of Jerry. On/off switch can be found on the left side of the screen which gives the unit authority over powers after a small press.
On the other side of the screen is a “light” button that brightens small light, white round disc on the right side of the light button. This light can be used as an emergency light source, it can be made from dull, bright and stable on SOS mode.
Below the lights are AC power sockets, in this model the UK Type G Socut. Other models depicted in the past were three or four but it has only two. Inverter Jerry has provided that the current is capable of providing a pure sign wave to mimic the grid. Its maximum wattage output is 2200W, but a brief increase of 4400W can support the peak. It must be necessary. The sockets can be turned on or off using a small button with “AC” labels on the right.
On the left side of the sockets is a column of three USB power output, two USB-C and one USB-A. The top USB-C has a maximum draw of 30W, middle USB-C 100W and lower USB-A only 18W draw.
Above the USB output is the 12V DC output capable of draw 10A. The USB and 12V DC outputs can be turned on and closed by small buttons on the right side of the USB output.
Eagerly, not all outputs have any cover such as rubber people often see at other power stations. This means that Explorer 2000 has no IP rating. A strange option for marketed products for on-a-go power is a drought for the time charged by solar.
The upper center has a small position screen that shows all the useful information you will need.
The remaining battery surrounded by the battery power indicator in the center is the time and time output to the left and full charge in the input watches, the battery is not completely discharged even in the watts and the rest of the time.
The top left is the position symbol for WiFi, Bluetooth and various mode, the top right to the right is 110 or 240V and 50 or 60Hz AC for AC. Below is the method of charged symbols for the left main, car or solar charging and the finally the bottom is the various defects symbols.
Explorer 2000 is input sockets in favor of which only three are and none of them are covers or any ingres security. He said, I am happy to see that the main input standard was through the IEC14 socket. The other two were DC inputs that used to worry me as I did not see this type of DC input from other brands at previous power stations.
Product using
I used Explorer 2000 on some tasks through the house, including running the ninja double stack air fryer, which attracted a maximum of 1600W cooking for about 25 minutes, Explorer 2000 had no problem in moving from 100% to 80%.
I then used it for my steam generator iron, which attracted Max 2100 W, again Explorer 2000 had no problem with this power, but I heard the fan (for before) kicking. It was said that the fan is incredibly calm, barely, even outside. My quick 45 -minute ironing session took the battery down from 80% to 40%.
The handle made the battery easier around the house, which is easier than some other people used in the past, making it not very heavy.
Jerry Explorer 2000 V2: The Solarsa 200W Solar Panel
Now Jerry Solarsa is proceeding on the 200W solar panel
Packaging
The solar panels were sent to a flat -looking box covered in a shiny sleeve, removing it we were a panel with a panel in the brown box.
The panels were wrapped in bubble rap and it was quite easy to get it out as the handles are very high.
The box has the only item panels, cables and manuals. I started with cable as it is the main interface between panels and explorers 2000.
To say that I am a little disappointed with the cable, there will not be a stretch. Solar panels such as those large homes and even small flexible people of other brands often use industry standard MC4 connectors.
Here is not, the output of Solarsaga is through a ownership socket and plug and there is another non -industry standard socket and plug at the other end, the cable has two adapters so that you can use the DC 8020 or DC 7909 plug. Industry standard is often the XT60 plug seen at many other power stations.
This means that you cannot use these panels on other power station brands or charge the explorer 2000 with an aftermark set of panels without the use of the adapter. In addition, if you lose or harm the solarsa cable, you are stuck. The UK, US and other international jerry websites do not list the cable for separate purchase, so make sure you take care of it.
The only plus of the cable is that at the end there is a small box on the battery that consists of USB-A and USB-C charging ports.
Panels are themselves non-surgical panels, which are with an open circuit voltage peak of 25V with maximum peak output more than 4 panels (50W per panel). The panels are placed at the corners with a series of press studs and the legs are placed by the Velcro pad. Once the main circuit bar cable plugs were in favor of panels.
Once completely uncontrolled and the panels were opened, a stunning amount of room, fully extended measures 235 cm or 92.5 inches. I found that these panels get a little fed to get up and run
To help align the panels with the sun, Jerry has included an sun angle indicator on one of the loops of the panels, all you have to do is align the panels until the shadow dot is in the middle of the white circle.
Once you all join, just, it, sometimes to transfer panels to make sure that they are at the optimal angle and in front of the sun. During the day I monitored the input in the battery from the panels and saw an average 165W during the day, killing the peaks 180W. The solar panel rarely, if sometimes, hit its advertised peak output, the amount I saw was correct.
Recently, on Sunny Day I set Jerry Solar Generator 2000 V2 up between 1015hrs and 1815hrs, worth some 8 hours worth, sometimes changing and re-infecting the panels, 2000 V2 went from 29% to 70%. This was not an ideal test in any way, as shadowed on the shade panels from my garden fence during the latter of the day.
During the solar charge test, Explorer 2000 estimated 9 to 10 hours of solar charging required to reach 100%. Note that there are two DC sockets and Solarsa 200 only use one of them, manual suggests that two Solarsa can be added to double the charge rate to the 200s to double the time to fully charge time.
Once I founded Jerry Explorer 2000, I gave it to him, you guessed, app. Download a quick app, registration and I was inside. Adding the battery to the app was a simple and quick case.
On the home screen you are congratulated by your jerry products, on this occasion Explorer 2000 and State of Charges.
Tapping on the battery took me to the main position of showing the battery, that is charge, input, output, wifi signal strength, temperature and some basic control.
Tapping on the top right to COG led to more in depth control and settings and more through product specifications.
Using the app, I found it somewhat dull. I would call the USB icon to switch to USB charging and take about 5 seconds before the icon burns and accept my phone charge. Sometimes I found that I have to click back to leave the battery position page and then click back to the battery to see whatever he asked.
Jerry Explorer 2000 V2: Final decision
Another solid product by Jerry and if anything can happen if anything can happen if recent events, there is probably not a bad idea after being one of them at home. An old saying comes to mind “I have this and do not need it, it is not needed and it is not”.
High output and high storage means that it is excellent for most domestic uses in emergency or is using peak charging to use during the day.
The only opposition is that Solarsa cable is owned and not available anywhere else and at some time is the Slagi app on time.
We have prepared a list of best laptop power banks,
