I recently got a chance to work in ZDNET Louisville Testing Lab, where I tested Samsung QN90f And saw how it was performed in real -world tests rather than a careful cuisted showroom experience. Compared to S95F OLED, Samsung QN90F has a picture that is almost lively and wide, as well as a slightly better object-tracking sound.

For the price, it is a better value as long as you do not look for features that are only S95F OLED, such as Oneconnect box. I ran the Samsung QN90F through a battery of tests, how to handle everything from streaming to gaming. I also worked with my lab engineers to run the Calman verification test, how to re-create images in both RGB and Black-And-White.
Unlike the S90F, in which its color tests had an important blue innings, QN90F in favor of hot tons. This may look slightly oversized by some scenes, and it can be increased by integrated blue light filters that can be turned on and closed.
But I personally instead it will be how many lifeless screen they can see on the side of cooler colors. Hot colored innings was the most noticeable while screening black-and-white films CasablancaPushing everything towards a more yellow sepia tone that somehow felt more suitable than S95F’s blue-gray.

Conversely, it is also quite comparable for more expensive OLED models, which gives you deep blacks and sharp details that help pop bright colors. The qled panel handles the fine details well in all picture mode, although the AI -ssified option looks slightly fuzzy to some images, especially if the characters are running quickly, or there are plenty of quick cut editing. But where QN90F actually stands out when the audio is compared to S95F OLED.
I am not sure if it is how the razor-thin S95F is, then it is that the audio never felt as full or 3D. QN90F is still a slim TV, but by having more space to make the sound, you will get a little rich hearing experience even without installing additional home audio equipment.
I compared both TVs playing some film music, Persona Rhythm Games, and a host of music albums, and QN90F always came to the top when it came into sound quality.

When it comes to gaming, the Samsung QN90F has a dedicated dashboard similar to other Samsung TVs, which allows you to adjust input delays, fresh rates and dedicated gaming picture mode to suit your favorite styles. Input delay was fine for most shooters and action games, like Ghost of tsushima And Catastrophe,
But when it comes to rhythm or platforming title, it can be a bit disappointing, even with the lowest possible delay option, a delay that you can feel, if not always see. It is not enough to cause disappointment or any important issue, but it is to keep in mind if you are doing something like an official speedrun.
My biggest complaint about QN90F is that it is easier to keep together compared to the S95F, the software setup process is tedious and time -taking, almost endless privacy policies, license agreements, and suggested app lists have been suggested to read or ignore until the lump sum.

I have another complaint that there are no advanced picture settings to adjust color temperature, sharpness and vice versa. You have four picture modes to choose (standard, film, filmmaker, and A-assisted), but none of them actually allows you to fix any settings for custom pictures that work with your location.
ZDNET purchase advice
All in all, Samsung QN90f If you are looking for a high quality TV with excellent pictures and audio quality, then there is a solid purchase, but not necessarily spring for more expensive OLED models.
With a warm picture and full sound, you get a little more enjoyable experience when watching old black-and-white movies, but some games and movies with a lot of colors may look a bit oversized. (This is something that you can always modify in picture settings, of course.) This is a great value for a QLD TV, especially if you can catch it on sale (as often happens).
