The manufacturer of 10 km is under ideal conditions. In fact, a reliable link is obtained at 1 km or less. Its IP67 rating provides reliable operations in rigid external conditions, and with dual GBE ports, it can increase the access of a remote space with wired Ethernet to more than 100 meters. AES-256 increases encryption security, and ensure alternative support reliable and safe communication for FIPS-140-2 compliance.

The built -in GPS enables the exact device location and network mapping, required for asset tracking and seamless network integration.

Web-based monitoring and management through integrated cloud service and mobile app allows auto-purification and mass deployment. EOC655 consumes 21W, making it ideal for remote places where energy supply is limited, such as solar farms. A dual-core A53 CPU supported by 1GB RAM and 8GB EMMC provides premium features such as service quality and Vlan support.

Cost of EOC655 $ 999 Not included per unit and an external antenna. The same unit is equipped with two 18DBI antennas, the cost is $ 1100 and can cover up to 10 km. The EOC655 can be bundled with another better antenna, which provides a range of up to 10 km at a high throwing for $ 1300.

    Engenius EOC655: Design

An accessory box with anxiety wireless bridge vessels consist of growing kits, ethernet wire, and a pop adapter. A metal ring secures the unit for an external post with a screw. The white plastic enclosure lacks a heat disruptive and will heat over time. Two Ethernet connector connects the box to the network while two N-type female connectors allow external antennas to add external antenna to promote the border of the bridge. The box measures 27 cm x 23 cm x 82 mm and weighs 1.84 kg.

Internal, EOC655 is based on a Qualcomm chipset. The processor is a dual-core 1GHz arm CPU supported by 1GB RAM and 8GB flash memory. Two Ethernets can connect to port 2.5 GB and 1 GB network, which can support low speed as 10 Mbps. Connectors have a plastic enclosure that surrounds the Ethernet cable, preventing the water from entering the bridge.

Two ethernet ports serve as POE ports, but they differ slightly in operation. The 2.5 GB ports supports an ownership version of POE that is compatible with only supplied adapters. 1GB port regularly supports 48V POE and can be connected to a standard Poe switch. To facilitate installation, the bridge includes additional hardware including a GPS module and Bluetooth connectivity.

The two-radio architecture allows the use of both internal and external antenna. The maximum power for transmission is set to 27 DBM, which is higher than in consumer products. The C18 model has an antennas underlying antennas with the advantage of 3.5 DBI at 2.4 GHz and eight DBI at 5 GHz. The second radio uses an N-type connector for the 5 GHz band. The base version of the bridge drops 5GHz internal antenna, resulting in both radio N-type connectors.

    Engenius EOC655: In Uses

At least two units are required to start the setup. A base unit connects to the wired network that requires extension. A second EOC655 is a customer and a partner with Aadhaar on Wi-Fi 6. There is no visual indicator to show what things are working well. If a POE switch is available, the possibility of connecting the base unit will be through 1G port, as a rapid 2.5G port is compatible with only owned power supply.

The setup is fully completed through the Engenius Skyconnect mobile app available on Android and iOS. It is disappointing that an additional app is required for this process, as other products of Angenius, including access points, use more familiar cloud-to-go platforms. Once operated, the base unit emits a management SSID and waits for remote units to answer. EOC655 supports 16 customer stations, working in a star configuration. For example, adding stations will not increase the network limit.

Autoisation of a GPS module and simplifies a dedicated 2.4 GHz radio installation process to management. The GPS provides an exact time source for real -time unit location and embedded NTP server. 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth channels Wi-Fi 6 Radio 6 Radio configuration and firmware updates prevent downtime. Finally, a built -in compass provides additional assistance when no GPS signal is present.

    Engenius EOC655: Competition

The EOC655 Bridge is an innovative product that connects various techniques including Bluetooth and GPS under a roof. For this reason, finding a suitable contestant is challenging.

The zyxel was provides several features similar to the Wax655E Angenius, and it is rapid, claims a 4×4 radio architecture. The Wax655E lacks the facility provided by the GPS module, making the installation more difficult. The Zyxel product does not have the second Ethernet port, which prevents the network from pursuing without switch.

    Engenius EOC655: Final decision

EOC655 meets requirements when long distance Wi-Fi is required. It is not a router or access point; It is very useless in itself. It shines when two or more are used in a Aries configuration to expand access to one kilometer. And it does well. The installation is smooth, thanks to features such as geolocation and setup via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz Wi-Fi through GPS. Thruput is not the best, but it will be reliable at a large distance.

We appreciated that you can install external antennas, which provide better benefits than embedded people. However, the lack of visual signals on the unit makes the need to work with the mobile app.

If you buy EOC655 You want to expand the access of your network without renouncing reliability.

If you do not buy EOC655 You want the best thrupoot available.

We list the best Aries Wi-Fi system,
