Using a keyboard on its lap can lead to productivity by cutting mouse rilions and encouraging efficient hot-run workflows.
Two of my four mechanical keyboards support wireless. I usually plug them on my desk, but I eventually realized that I did not really detect their wireless capacity. So, I decided to move one in my lap – and it felt right.
Traditional Desk ergonomics do not always work
I will not go into the entire debate about whether sitting at an ideal 90 degree angle with your hips is right and healthy currency. What do I know I feel better when I change my sitting position throughout the day.
Sometimes it means to recur a little while keeping my arms on the desk; The second time, this means lifting my feet and resting them at the desk to promote blood flow. Interesting, a Research paper Using the MRI scan has shown that these small changes in the posture can change spinal alignment significantly and potentially reduce or prevent back pain.

Doing any of these can cause problems below the road.
Unfortunately, I do not have a permanent desk or ergonomic chair, so my options are quite limited with this $ 60 office chair. Even my wrist starts hurting. If I live for a very long time in a situation, my arms relax on the desk and the arms of the chair are elbow. This setup encourages sluting and round shoulders, locking me into a posture that is far from the ideal.
When I lift my feet at my desk (the situation finds me the most comfortable), I often bend strangely to reach the keyboard. Slocating this shrimp like this shrimp has contributed to the issues going on with my left shoulder blade, which I have been trying to fix in the gym for years.
With my recent article about using wired equipment, what happened to my search: transfer my wireless mechanical keyboard in my lap. This trick has unlocked some additional seating positions that are quite comfortable for my wrist, arms, legs, back, and, most importantly, shoulders.
This setup is better than a laptop
I was the owner of the old version of the CORSAIR K70 keyboard of full size until I recently came to the fond of mechanical keyboard. It is rather heavy, heavy and wired, so taking it into my lap was not really an option with its sharp aluminum edges (the new version fixes it).
All this changed when I upgraded to Ajaz AK820 Pro, which has 75% layout and is made of plastic. This is much lighter and more compact than K70. It is also just wireless-the unlikely reasons that I had raised it on the AK820 non-app, it was actually a screen.
In addition to connecting it with your laptop while working remotely for more than a day, I didn’t really see much reason to use it in a wireless way. I did not even have a case of an use to keep it on my lap. This is somewhat irony, given how most of us use. LapAt the top of the first place.
But once I tried it, I immediately saw how comfortable it felt. In fact, it is better than using laptops because the keyboard is light, small, portable, and does not heat like under the laptop.
I can finally stop reaching further to the keyboard on my desk and instead I can keep my arms and shoulders comfortably, in a natural condition. My wrist is also in a more neutral position, which can help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. At least, I no longer feel stress in the wrist.
Of course, I get the most benefits when I combine it with my favorite seating position – legs on the desk, the chair is again added. With my monitor arm, I can easily accommodate the monitor angle so that it is always right in front of me. It is like a version of a recurring work center of poor man.

I rarely arrive for my mouse
Well, so a laptop has a trackpad, which makes for a solid mouse option when you are using it in your lap. But until you are using something like the Mokibo fusion keyboard, the keyboard (including me) does not come with an underlying touchpad.

How to use cursor with your keyboard
Writer and coders, this is for you.
While I can still use my mouse if needed (it is never out of reach), I try to avoid it because it slows me down. Sure, we are talking about parts of a second, but they add. More importantly, it is less tired.
Instead of clicking around the browser, I rely on the underlying shortcuts and standard text-editing hotkeys of Chrome to quickly and efficiently. I am still learning some of them, but still, I can tell that forcing myself to adapt, just taking your keyboard in your lap, has already improved my productivity.
This is a small change that created a big difference
I know that it sounds like such a non-dust for some people, but someone who spends eight to ten hours sitting on my desk, I need to do everything I can do to take care of my physical health. If you have experienced back, shoulder, or wrist pain, I strongly encourage you to try to take your keyboard in your lap on how it feels.
The good news is that while a wireless keyboard can make it easier and more convenient, you can technically do it with a wired keyboard, especially with a coilly cable.
Anchor to one end of coils for the bottom of your desk. Once it becomes safe, you can pull the keyboard away from the desk, and the cable will spread with it. When you do it and return the keyboard to the desk, the cable will not get entangled – it will simply return to its original position. My cable is not safe on the desk, but here you have a quick photo that you guess what your setup can look like.
It was one of the best ideas I did throughout the year to take my keyboard in my lap. This is not a cure for all pain and pain of the desk work and all long -term health issues that may steal from it, but it has made noticeable improvement in my daily rest. I firmly encourage you to try it – you will be surprised by the difference that can do it.
