I have been using I8 smart bed for almost a year, and it has helped me learn a lot about my sleep over time. If you have a bed frame with a flat surface, you do not need to buy the integrated base (which you want to buy separately). If you have slats in your frame, they should not exceed two inches. There is an air pump that needs to be plugged into an outlet, and you will need space under the bed to store it.
