As long as I know about airbnb, it has always been a holiday rental app to find a hotel option. Whether it is an attractive apartment in Salem, comfortable cabin in New York, or Ultimet Girl in Charleston, focuses around places to live in my knowledge about the AirBNB brand. But in time for summer, homestay platform is looking at the entire travel experience with all new booking features.
And as someone likes to cure my trips to match my moodboard (and sometimes excessively specific whims), I am ready to plan a holiday around these new features tomorrow.
Airbnb services, airbnb experience, and a fully re-designed airbnb app comes as a triple-launch that marks the largest upgrade of the brand over the years. The most exciting updates have to be done with finding activities and features that can either be supplemented by an airbnb living or wherever you are already, can be reached.
Together, they feel less like a booking site to airbnb and a trip is more like consciousness. Now, you can book a lot from a massage to a personal chef for a full-developed fashion styling session. You can connect with professionals for rent, whether it is individual instructor, nail tech, photographer or party planner.
But the airbnB services will not include general gig workers. AirbNB says that the average service host will offer 10+ years of experience, with many reputation established in its given field. Prices for many offerings will start below $ 50, but with its look, you will also be able to go to the whole luxury. That is, if you are booking in one of the 260 cities around the world which is opening for the host of AirBNB services.
Then there are AirBNB experiences, which have been introduced through AirBNB for some time, but now they are completely separated that you will find on the choice of viator and getyourguide. Refresh version centers on authenticity and local expertise in more than 650 cities. Compared to services, there are more experiences with travel activities aimed at avoiding congested tour groups and basic hotspots.
It is very important for me, finding the “far away from the beaten path” experiences for a good journey program. But this is the place where AirbnB can come to the original. The original, essentially, there are more uniform programs organized by famous celebrities and other notable names. Think: A barbecue with NFL superstar Patrick Mahors or a beach volleyball lesson with Olympian Carol Solberg in Rio.
Airbnb has not yet clarified how many times or for whom (or how much) will run away. He said, I think most people should expect to stick to basic experiences, and AirbNB is also accepting the application for the hosts of new experiences as this writing.
For how these new services and experiences can be discovered and booked, the AirbNB app is getting a major change. It now acts like a conscience and planner, which is completed with a re -designed homepage to discover homes, services and experiences at the same place. Meanwhile, the new trip tab gives you a full journey program with schedule and recommendations. Messaging experience has also improved.
I appreciate how airbnb is carrying on the idea that the journey does not begin and ends where you sleep. Can it pull on that scale (without reducing the intimacy living in AirBNB appealing in the first place). I think services can be an important success factor, given how difficult it is to find private professionals for rent until you know anyone.
So not, I have not booked a blowout or a remonor-making class (yet). But I am reconsideration of how I am planning my next visit, and wondering whether AirbnB can be the only app that I need.
