Egyptian tourism and archaeologists of antiques have found new details about the design and functions of a fort in the Sinai Desert. While living on the site of Tail Abu Saifi, the fort was rebuilt and revised for centuries. These new conclusions show that it had a wide landscape of 500 trees, leading to its entrance about 2000 years ago. These trees were planted on both sides of a road in mud-interested circles. The fort was used when a general of Tolemy I – Alexander The Great ruled Egypt.

    Trees, mats, and defense

According to the new conclusions mentioned by Sky News Arab, the fort was surrounded by a trench (a trench) that was deeper than 6.6 feet (2 m). This gap would have helped the soldiers to protect the fort. Tolemes faced several opponents at different times, including the Celluusid Empire, the Roman Republic and the rebellious groups operated in Egypt.

Clay planting circles can be used to plant trees in Tolemic Egypt, Elizabeth Macaulle, New York Graduate Center’s City University, a classics professor at the University University Stated In an email for live science. Evidence from Papiri and Archeology supports the cultivation of plant on a large scale. If roots are found, it can confirm that these circles were used for planting and helps identify tree species.

    Other conclusions

Many other people are found to be the living quarters of soldiers and perhaps like their families. In addition, he discovered a section of the road that was 328 feet (100 m) long, 36 feet (11 m) wide, and was confirmed with a slab of limestone. It is used for military units traveling to the fort. Archaeologists detected four corners of a structure which could also be from the earlier period. It is possible that this structure is also a fort, but the team is not able to date it or verify its purpose.
