The fourth developer of iOS 26 has arrived and allegedly, it comes with the code that tease homepod settings – which includes a setting that refers to a homepod with a display.
Homepod was discovered by data Macrums, Who found the phrase of Purvabhas: “Your homepod will not be able to respond to you requests about the local season, time, or your area.”
The thoughtful word is “show”, because now the homepod can show you nothing like weather or time because there is no screen of any type to display that information. But it can change with the upcoming Apple Homepod 3.
What does it mean for homepod
A little sketch does not appear to be much in the code, beyond fencing, but it is believed that there is another sign in the long -ridden next generation homepod speaker.
Till this point, only leaks and rumors have portrayed a picture of an updated Apple speaker with an OLED iPad-like display, which is to be operated with more AI-Forward Siri 2.0, but no concrete evidence has yet appeared.
At one point, the new homepod was about to launch this year in March, but recent rumors have pushed the device to the third quarter of 2025.
A part of the problem, allegedly, is Siri integration. Many of the rumors claim that Apple wants to convert homepods into a home hub that uses AI and voice instructions to control its smart home through speakers, but it has delayed growth.
In addition to Advanced Siri support, Homepod 3 is considered to control Homcomit and Matter device, run Apple apps and works in fashion similar to Amazon Eco shows.
Apple fight with AI
It is no secret that Apple is struggling with the creation of its AI features. Recently, the company was given a major setback for its Apple Intelligence Strategy, on a large scale because Apple is happening in its own way while talking about AI.
It has become so bad that even reports that Apple can upgrade other companies like Openai or Ethropic.
Apple’s Craig Federighi and Greg Josaviaq spoke with Tom’s guide during WWDC 2025 and discussed Apple’s approach to Apple’s AI and how the company is working to improve Apple Intelligence.
“We will announce the date when we are ready to seed it, and you are all ready to be able to experience it,” Federighi said about an updated Siri 2.0. Since then, however, nothing has been announced.
Despite rumors that Homepod 3 is still coming in 2025, it is not clear when Apple will finally release it, as the company is struggling with its AI problem.
