According to the latest leak, the first foldable iPhone can be more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which was launched by the South Korean firm earlier this month.

In a post on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging website, Tipster SetSuna Digital (Translated from Chinese) claims that Apple will launch its first foldable iPhone CNY at 15,999 (about Rs 1,93,100)For base variants with 256GB storage. This indicates that Apple’s handset can be much more expensive than the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z fold 7, The price of CNY is 13,999 (about Rs 1,69,000) In the country.

If these claims are accurate, it means that the top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy Z fold 7 1TB storage variants will cost less than the alleged iPhone fold with 512GB storage. Apple’s margin on foldable phones is expected to be high, and the company may produce and sell a limited number of handsets.
Recent reports suggest that the iPhone fold will be equipped with a crease-free inner screen, produced by Samsung, while Kaj and metal backplates are supplied by a company known as M-TEC. The handset is also asked to run on a customized version of Apple’s smartphone operating system, which is expected to be iOS 27.
It is worth noting that these prices for the handsets belong to the Chinese market, and the cost of the handset may vary in other markets such as South Korea and America.
