I have long been fascinated by the post-patter career of Wizarding World Star Daniel Radcliffe. After completing his term as ‘The Boy Hu Liv’ in 2011, the British actor has prepared a lot of diverse filmography and flexed his acting muscles in a wide range.
While the focus of the choice of horror “The Woman in Black” and action-comedy “The Lost City” was attracted, Radcliffe’s 2017 Survival Thriller, “Jungle,” never managed to get out.
It is a matter of shame, because it is holding the “man vs. nature” story and sees Radcliffe as a real -life courageous.
Never heard about “forest”? I am not particularly surprised, but there is no time like the present to fix that oversight, as the film is currently available to stream for free through Amazon Prime Video.
With too much free streaming, you have to tolerate advertisements, and when they are annoying, a couple of advertising brakes have a small price to enjoy a deep survival drama without spending one percent.
Here you need to know about the “forest”, now it is free streaming.
What about ‘Jungle’?
Based on the true story of the trek of Israeli adventurer Yosi Ginsberg at Amazon Renforest in 1981, “Jungle” is a story of existence and enmity of the natural world.
In the 1980s, Yosi (starred by Radcliffe) was backpacking through Bolivia, when he was invited to a campaign in a dense forest with friends, Kevin (Alex Russell) and Marcus (Joel Jackson). First, travel is dream accessories, as the group examines the sites of extreme beauty that no camera can fully capture.
However, the experience of a one -time lifetime takes a nightmare when Yosi separates from his crew and forces to fight against elements to survive.
Due to no formal training, any survival gear and to throw tireless obstacles in their way in the forest, Yosi should bear practically unimaginable difficulties to create it through a thick green maze which seems to be ending.
‘Jungle’ is a deep ‘man vs. nature’ story

The “jungle” packs a strong artists. Carl of Thomas Crachtsuchman, a person who claims to be an experienced expert in Amazon, but quickly reveals to be less reliable than advertised, leaves a strong impression. However, it is a very high radcliffe film.
Half of the back of the film, which sees Yosi trapped by miles from civilization in a thick and dangerous forest, allows radcliffe to completely absorb the character. The sequences in which they begin having hallucinations due to lack of livelihood are so intense that they limit on uncomfortable. At least he makes a valuable friend in a turtle on the banks of a river!
Yosi’s on-screen plight is particularly disturbed because it is inspired by real events. Of course, the “jungle” plays with the overall timeline and replaces some elements of Yosi’s story for dramatic effects, but broad strokes are accurate, which adds more and more a sense of bets and authenticity.

Moments of closing, which show the images of the real yosie after their ordinance, create a fitting for conclusion, even if the presence of their skeleton is rather stomach.
While the film focuses greatly on Yosi’s grief and acute trauma of his position, it is also deeply inspiring. Looking at him that keep looking for drives to pursue the drive, refuse to give a sheer disappointment and even constantly tell yourself “I will survive” the spine is the spine, and the committed performance of Radcliffe only further enhances things. If the film gets away from finding you for life, I am not surprised – I will stick to the resorts along the beach in the future.
Director Greg McLean also includes some breathtaking shots of the jungle, which gives the film almost virtual tourist elements. Of course, it is not that it actually serves as a particularly a compelling travel advertisement.
Nevertheless, the film reveals the beauty of nature and acts as a valuable reminder that the wild, indomitable forest should be respected.
‘Jungle’ is an underraged survival thriller

I was a little surprised to see that “Jungle” managed only 60% score Rotten tomatoesAs in my view, it is very high.
The most common criticism appears to be scripting in the early parts, and the second function is melodramatic in tone. While I agree to some extent, the film actually comes in itself when Yosi separates from his friends and no one has no one to trust, but to avoid the green spread of themselves.
The audience score of the film is similar to 59%, in which some viewers have been struggling with pacing. Although I will push back against this line of criticism, as it is certainly not a zippy thriller, I was never bored for a moment, and consistently a mixing bets ensures that the film only gets better as a two -hour runtime progression.

Now that the “jungle” is available to stream for free on prime videos, I will encourage you to give it a watch. This is a great performance for the talents of Daniel Radcliffe (she is too much Now! Harry Potter), and a reminder who, for all beauty in the world around us, nature can be an extremely hostile force.
It is almost like a feature-lengthy episode of the “Man vs. Wild” TV show of bears Grills, only in this case, not sleeping in a luxury hotel every night after the end of Yosi Filming. Instead he was against Mother Nature for Real.
Not sold on “jungle” and looking for some alternative options? Here in June 2025, everything is new on Prime Video. But you will need an Amazon Prime subscription to watch these films and TV shows.
