- The study found that 42% of IT professionals dedicated the workload from Cloud in just one year.
- About half of IT teams faced stunning cloud costs between $ 5,000 and $ 25,000
- Government, dedicated servers dominate in finance and IT, where uptime and compliance are important
The increasing popularity of cloud infrastructure has not eradicated the need for traditional setup.
New Research The liquid web has suggested that dedicated servers are not only stable in some enterprise circles but also receive traction.
Despite the story of omnipresent Cloud Dominance, 86% of IT professionals reported in the survey that their organizations have still rely on the dedicated server, a striking person at an age who is defined by flexibility and abstraction.
Why dedicated servers still matter
The dedicated infrastructure seems to be concluded in a wide range of industries, especially where regulatory inspections and data control are non-parasical.
Government bodies adopted the highest at 93%, followed by IT and finance at 91%and 90%respectively.
Even small outfits are using a dedicated environment, allegedly using them with 68% microbuceness.
About half of the respondents (42%) said that they had run away from public cloud services in the last one year, often in response to concerns on compliance, security or rising costs.
The majority of the respondents, 55%, pointed to the need for complete control and adaptation as their top argument to stick to the dedicated hardware.
Others highlighted network performance, estimated pricing and physical security as driving factors.
“IT professionals migrated the workload back into an environment dedicated to a public cloud, which migrates a deliberate strategy to rebuild the workload to the environment dedicated to a public cloud,” CTO Ryan McDonald said on the Liquid web.
“Dedicated server controls, performance and security that IT leaders need to build future proof architecture.”
There are concerns around cloud efficiency, and about half of the IT professionals reported to face unexpected cloud-related expenses, usually between $ 5,000 and $ 25,000.
Additionally, 32% believe that their current cloud infrastructure budgets are being wasted at features or capacity that are never fully used.
It complicates the perception of disillusionment cloud as the best web hosting solution, at least for all use cases.
It is clear that the dedicated servers are not just the remains of a begon era, and they continue to serve the roles in the best cloud hosting strategies by offering a physical, separate environment for sensitive data and performance-intensive workload.
For future approaches, 45% of IT professionals predicted that dedicated servers would only grow in importance by 2030, 53% call them necessary, but 13% saw them as obsolete.
There is a growing feeling among professionals that Cloud Infrastructure is not always synonymous with innovation.
“They feel that everything is now in ‘Cloud’ and does not feel that Cloud is often a dedicated server of someone else,” said a general jade defendant.
This echoes the broad view that even the best dedicated server setup is still marketed as a cloud.
For many organizations, Cloud may not be the final destination; It is part of a more fine infrastructure journey.
