JBL Tune Beam 2 is the latest wireless stereo (TWS) by the company, which has been released as a part of the tune series 2 in April. TWS comes two years after its predecessor, tune beam, and with much better specifications and new features. This upgrade los angeles appears to be part of the recent change strategy of California -based audio giants, which we have also seen with its other equipment. JBL is now focusing on the offering of feature-rich devices with comprehensive adaptation, which makes sense to see the current market landscape.

Rupee. 5,499, it enters the market in a competitive segment that is targeted not only by audio companies but also by smartphone manufacturers. This means that JBL Tune Beam 2 has to compete with the hardware capabilities of brands not only Sony and Sklakandy, but also with the ecosystem integration and software compatibility of smartphone brands such as realme and onePlus.

The JBL Tune Beam 2 comes with innovations on both fronts, which features spatial audio, effective active noise cancellation (ANC), and new person-Fi 3.0-in-managed individual audio profiles. Since last month, I have been using TWS as my daily driver to understand the experience and find out if JBL has packed the earphones with sufficient power to woo a diverse consumer base. Let’s get down to the brass tack.

JBL Tune Beam 2 Designs and Features: Basic but comfortable

    • Size – 33.4 x 22.6 x 25 mm (earphone); 61.5 x 29.15 x 47 mm (Case)
    • Weight – 5.2g (each earphone); 42 g (with case)
    • Water and dust resistance – IP54 (earphone only)
    • Color – Black, Blue and White

I got a blue variant, and honestly, I like a pastel -like color on it. JBL Tune Beam 2’s case design does not do much to write about the house. It is an oval-vertical shape with an honest profile to suit classic JBL designs. It is slightly heavy, and when in the pocket, you will feel its presence. The top-hinged lid facilitates a firm magnetic shutdown, and a soft, touch is felt in the matte plastic body. There are three vertical LED lights at the front to indicate pairing and charge levels and a USB-C charging port is located at the bottom.

JBL Tune Beam 2 Review: Panch sounds from powerful ANC

The earphone case has a plastic body with matte finish. They feel premium to touch and catch.

The case is quite minimum, except the JBL logo was engraved in front and the name of the product was engraved on the back. Although the case appears premium, the lid screams slightly and also cracks with a little push. In particular, if you are more accustomed to flattery pebble -shaped, horizontally oriented cases (Realme Buds Air 7 Pro or OnePlus Buds 3), it will take some time to use this one.

Opening the lid reveals stem-style earbuds with LED indicators to learn when they are and added. JBL retained expectations with its comfortable, soft silicon ear tips. While each ear is different, I had a snug fit even during my sweat -level gym sessions. At only 5.2g, the earbuds are light, and I did not experience any discomfort even after hours of continuous use.

The earbuds have a matte finish at the top and a bright finish out of the stem, where touch sensors are located. Despite the matte finish, taking out the earbuds was sometimes uncomfortable, because their size made them slippery. I would like a little more gripier texture.

The JBL Tune Beam 2 earbuds has an IP54 rating, meaning that they can handle topical dusty hands, sweat and light rain. As ideal, earbuds come up with gesture-based touch control that allow you to control playback, take up calls and togle ANC and ambient awareness mode. Control can also be adapted through partner app. Controls are quite touching-sensitive; However, there were examples where I had to tap a few times before entering the conversation.

JBL Tune Beam 2 App and Specifications

    • Driver – 10 mm
    • Partner App – JBL Headphone App
    • Gesture Control – Yes (tap)

The JBL Tune Beam 2 earphones are compatible with the JBL headphone app, which is available on both iOS and Android devices. The app opens a window for a large number of customization settings as well as the company’s new Person-Fi 3.0 feature, which allows you to personalize the sound profile of the device based on your sound perception.

Here, I have to tell that my experience with the fellow app was not very smooth. In many examples, the application will not connect despite being connected to the earphone, and I have to re -add the earphones to reach the settings. On other occasions, navigating through the app was a dull experience.

    JBL TB2 3 JBL Tune Beam 2

The earphones come with the spatial audio of JBL which adds a layer of depth to the hearing experience.

But when the app is connected, you will find three main sections, general, audio and others to fold your audio experience. The first features control for the ambient sound, and it allows you to turn and switch to the ANC, environment aware (transparency mode), and talk through (talk-through) mode. It has options for smart audio (which cures different audio profiles for music and videos), as well as gesture control.

In particular, when you can choose separate gestures for each earbud, there is no la carte treatment. This means that you can choose one of the three control groups for each earbud – surroundings sound control, volume control and playback control, but at the same time you may not have control for all three. Yearbuds support single and double tap, as well as tap-end-hold gestures.

Sadly, JBL Tune Beam 2 does not support some more premium features that you find in more expensive JBL Live Beam 3 (review). These include Czech My Best Fit, which tells you if there is an audio leak and if you need different ears tips and smart talks, which lets you choose sensitivity for speech detection (for talk through). Since these are mainly software-powered features, I wondered knowing that the company did not include them.

Coming into the audio section, here you can customize the equipment and either choose from eight presets or create your own custom experience. When you manually make an equilizer curve, it is also saved in many devices, so if you decide to pair another smartphone you do not need to re -make it. There are also options for spatial sound, sound balance, volume government and sound level optimization. Additionally, you can also reach Person-Fi from this window. Finally, there is other sections, which feels comfortable, helps you to detect your earbuds, and facilitates a power-saving mode.

Finally, talking about the specifications, the JBL Tune Beam 2 Earphone supports 10 mm dynamic driver, the company’s spatial sound technology, and AAC and SBC codec. There is no LDAC compatibility, it is sad. You will also get support for Bluetooth 5.3 with multi-point connectivity. Earphones also allow you to install ANC levels, which is a very convenient additional.

JBL tune beam 2 performance and battery life: decent

    • Codec Support: SBC, AAC, JBL spatial sound
    • Charging – Wired (USB Type -C)
    • Bluetooth – 5.3

When you spend above the rupee. 5,000 on a pair of earphones, some expectations naturally follow, and in most cases, the JBL Tune Beam 2 defends. Let’s start with ANC. If silicone tips fit snuggly in your ear, ANC performance will affect you. During external use, the earphone vehicles and the nearby crowd block most of the loud noise, and you only hear a minor noise. Its performance exceeded my expectations for low, middle and high-existing noise.

The inside is even better indoors, and this feature closes AC, sealing fan, TV, or loud neighbor’s voice. Additionally, if you prefer less intense ANC experience, you can always adjust the level using a partner app. If anc is something you give importance, it is probably the best tool that you can choose in this price range. Based on my team’s experience, it improves both Realme Buds Air 7 Pro and OnePlus Buds 3 (reviews).

Now, proceeding to actual audio performance, if you like the earphone, you will not find yourself useless. Harman’s fine-tuning device is completely set for puncture numbers such as The Weekend’s Starboy and Talk by Hosier. While a clear and well -defined bass is an attraction, MIDS and Vocals are also not muddy, thanks to the fellow app. This means that you can comfortably enjoy a persecuted tone like a person of Edel or immerse yourself in a slow dancing in a burning room by John Mayor.

    JBL TB2 4 JBL Tune Beam 2

Ih ANC and Volume between 50 and 60 percent, I was able to get about eight hours with ANC and 10 hours without it.

I was also a fan of broad soundstage (equal to JBL Live Beam 3, which was Rs 13,999), which puts you up in front of any music and in the center that is placed above by dolby atomos or similar surround technology, and lets you experience different devices from different directions and depths. The same goes for TV shows and, movies, and gaming (detecting the direction of the map in BGMI was a piece of cake).

However, audiofiles may be disappointed, that earphones do not support defective music or LDAC codec. However, this is usually nothing that you see in this price range, so it should not be an issue. On the other hand, while the device comes with spatial audio support, it is more than a gimmick compared to a real game-changer. If you want to play with delay, you can try various audio mode in the fellow app. Additionally, earphones do not have an in-ear detection, which I found quite disappointing.

However, JBL leaves you desired in the calling department. Although it is known that TWS does not offer good microphone quality, JBL Tune Beam 2 is also weakening at that low expectation. On many occasions, I found that the quality of the voice is filled with mechanical and ambient noise. The callers have also seen that the sound of the sealing fan of my room was raised more than my voice. Inside the house, it was still manageable; However, external calls were almost impossible due to high ambient noise. If phone calls and meetings are a priority, Realme Buds Air 7 Pro (here review) will be a better option for you.

Finally, the battery life of JBL Tune Beam 2 has really impressed me. According to JBL, you get three additional charges from about 10 hours of battery life and case with ANC competent, a total of 40 hours of game time. In my test, the number came very close. I was able to get about eight hours with ANC and 10 hours without it, between 50 and 60 percent, between 50 and 60 percent. The case also led me to two full charge bicycles, causing it to reach close to 30 hours of platim. On moderate use, it meant that I could go a whole week without the need to charge my device. Charging time from zero to 100 takes about two hours. In particular, the charging case also supports quick charging.

    JBL Tune Beam 2 Wordic

After using JBL Tune Beam 2 for more than a month, I think this earphone is enough to be a daily driver of any person who prefers bass-befed experiences without compromising on mids and vocals. At the price of rupees. 5,499, it is better in audio experience than contestants such as Realme Buds Air 7 Pro, OnePlus Buds 3, and Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro (Review Here). Heavy customicability, strong ANC and long battery life also add the value of these earphones.

    JBL TB2 5 JBL Tune Beam 2

The JBL tune beams offer a bass-rich experience without compromising on 2 mids and vocals.

However, I was not influenced by the quality of the microphone, and not having an in-ear detection was also a lethargy. Despite a large number of adaptation tools in the fellow app, its incredibility and overall dull experience in joining with earbuds does not want me to use it. In addition, the case is somewhat heavy, and if you wear jeans a lot, we hope that it will get out of your pocket slightly. If any of these is priority for you, then you are better with any of other options mentioned.
