The Louvre Museum in Paris, France is retiring the Nintendo 3DS audio guide for the museum later this year.

Cooperation between Louvre and Nintendo first fell in 2012 – where you can “rent” 3Ds in Louvre to use as an audio guide. The software had 3D models of high quality photos and museum’s iconic artwork. More than 600 pictures, 30 -hour audio commentary, and more than 400 3D reconstruction software of the museum room are part of the software.
It was, and still, a very unique cooperation, and we are a little sad to see it. But it has been for about 13 years, so it makes sense. Therefore, if you want to experience the flavor in a really unique way, you have received one of those special 3Ds by September 2025 to rent.
