Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 6 is the newest model of the Thinkpad E14 lineup, and is a budget offering to go into this popular lineup of business computers.
It is not a very good themes – it was not the most powerful or the best battery life to me; It is not the most smooth or most painted. But it is well noted that it is a good budget laptop. It is an excellent value for a computer, especially with one of the most famous badging on it.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 6: Unboxing and first raids
It was very straight to unpack this computer. It came with standard Lenovo packaging and minimum accessories. It had charger, some documentation and laptop, all this.
Charger Lenovo is a 65W USB-C charger, which was a beautiful thing to find. Instead of a specific barrel connector or those asymmetrical ownership and unique chargers, always forces you to carry a second charger. With USB-C, all the latest equipment and cables can work; This charger can also charge my phone and other equipment.
On the first impression, I was able to note very quickly that it is a budget laptop. While it is clearly a thinkpad laptop, it is also clearly a budget version. It looks like a very basic and very common laptop, which was expected for this level of laptops. This is a very heavy as I expected that it would be at first glance, but is not unbearable or odd in any way.
The keyboard looks like a thinkpad, it has a little red dot touchpoint in the middle, with a left and right click button on top of the touchpad. For a budget laptop for authors, it is a decent model. Finally, the performance is about what I expected, some good to do some work, but nothing is notable.

The laptop looks like a commercial laptop; I will give it. It looks like a model that you will see if you are in a professional field, in a business class in local university, or even in a library. It seems something to be used in a professional landscape where high performance is unnecessary.
It has a strong chassis with the left and right ports on the right, although I want a Thunderbolt port on the right, or at least USB-C, non-tanderbolt port. The keyboard is comfortable to write a long email or use for basic daily tasks, especially for money. Trackpoints and touchpads are responsible and can be easily adjusted to be more or less sensitive depending on your needs.
Finally, talking about IO, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, and USB-C, USB-A, and Headphone Jack, which gives this computer more ports than most modern laptops.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 6: In Uses
So far, it is not my favorite laptop, but I would say it is a known budget laptop. If you are looking for a dream machine that all this can do, it is not. But if you are looking for a inexpensive machine that passes all the tests of Lenovo, then in every way, this computer is considering. But, know that opening programs are a tad laggy; The webcam is very cheap, and the speakers are thick.
During the test, my team and I noticed that, especially compared to laptops, we often double-click on E14 due to lack of accountability, resulting in unintentional clicks once the first page is loaded. Di, we are used for high-end, flagship computers, but it can still be slow for some applications.
Another thing we saw is that when it was a magnificent port Prasad, we did not love the places of the ports; We will have a lot but one of the USB-C ports will be on the right.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 6: Final decision
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 General 6 is a budget, entry-level, basic business laptop that otherwise serves as an accessible entry point in the popular thinkpad ecosystem. It looks like a thinkpad, feels, and works, but trades of performance, performance and abilities suggest that it is not a regular thinkpad you see and read.
