Ah yes, seven entries and we finally arrive in the first counted game in the series (pipe down, MK64). There was always something that made me laugh about being called ‘Mario Cart 7’, Mario Cart made all the more cheerful by the world. No ‘Mario Cart 9’ is being called. After cool names such as super circuit and double dash, ‘7’ definitely felt unqualified. Which is irony because the game was anything but.

Certainly, there was a shortage of the local multiplayer bridge of home console release, but I got to drive a cart that could fly And Go under water, which I would say that a fair trade is closed. I clearly recall that for the first time driving around Chip Cip Lagoon and its aquatic appeal was blowing my small mind. I played with the 3D slider, which was crank to Max, you see, and felt like a future flowing around that seaweed.
You know what else was good? Customable cart. I did not care about the figures at that time at that time and instead was set to build the most frightening hatred committed to the track. Not getting to see my work, it was one of the main reasons that I rarely used the first-person driving mode of the game-and the fact that I once tried it behind the car and it made me sick. – Jim Norman
- Standout track: DK Jungle, Rock Rock Mountain, Chipe Cip Lagoon
- Funny facts: Despite the shutdown in April 2024, it was not till November that year that the final Mario Cart 7 player finally dropped out of the final game lobby. This is quite victory lap!
- What does Mario Cart World take from this? Gliding has led to a winged change in the world, but it is the same fundamental that we first saw in MK7. Underwater driving is another clear, although whatever we have seen so far, racing above the waves is the only option in MKW. The fire flower is getting stronger even after starting its series in 3DS entry, though.
When I told my colleagues that I spent more time in playing Mario Cart 8 on Wii U compared to 8 deluxe, there was a audible gasp. It has nothing to do with preference – the deluxe is clearly Now version to play. But between 2014 and 2017, my life was very different.
In addition to some virtual console RPGS and Xenoblade X, Mario Cart 8 was one of the few sports I really played on Wii U, a console that I do not love much otherwise. I was in university and barely in my 20s; I also preferred to play goods on the big screen, so I left MK7.

8 The exceptionally bright curriculum and colorful world were like seeing my childhood again, except we have anti-gravity and Huge Courses that appear such as they stretch for miles and miles. The grand sky-up race and crowded city streets were back to the menu, and I felt that old Mario Cart Wii back.
The biggest thing I remember is downloadable material. Was nintendo Dubbing at DLC for a few yearsBut I was still a doubtful student who wanted to spend money only on those things that I felt that I would love. Then, Mario Cart 8 threatens Ol ‘Animal Crossing Carrots. Hey gosh,
See, a free Mercedes-Benz was all well and good (although a little strange), but Zelda, Animal Crossing, and F-Zero courses are coming in a Mario Cart game? It is like a smash Brothers but Mario KartOh, Baby Park’s back? No, thanks – Hyrule Circuit is awaited.
I really like all DLC courses, but I believe that I was one Little Disappointed to cross the animal. This is a bit basic and when seasonal changes are beautiful, I would have loved a little more variety per season obstacles. The big surprises were F-Zero, a series that I really never found. Mario Cart wanted me a new F-Zero game. Big blue on 200cc? This is pure magic. – Alana Haggs
- Standout track: Todd Harbor, Sunshine Airport, Cloudtop Cruise, Big Blue (DLC)
- Funny facts: Firehoping, or frogging, was a common technique that was used online to promote a mini-boost online. Nintendo removed it into the deluxe, which means it was probably an inadvertent mess.
- What does Mario Cart World take from this? Hmm … ok, ok, because 8 deluxe is essentially MK8 but betterPerhaps save it …

This is the best selling game on the switch, although I wonder where it stands in the most played rankings. Even if you were one of the ninthndo loyalists who bought a Wii U and unlocked each cup, got DLC, and played MK8 for full death, you still played Was 8 to buy deluxe.
Proper war mode and the ability to keep two items were the major boons (although I) still Recall the strategy that comes with being able to switch to the objects between la double dashes), but it was actually a complete Mario cart facility when going with two pads, which makes MK8D indispensable for any switch owner. You just had this.

It was interesting to hear the discussion of the gods “Kicking the Can Down the Road” And using booster course pass as Stopgap. Still, what a stopgap! 48 new tracks, with returning courses, some were re -designed, some were borrowed from the tour, completely with new people – with so many new courses, it was difficult to disturb the odd dud, especially if you were getting access to all of them through an extension pack sub. And the real -world places added a different taste to the destruction – they were not usually there with the best of other courses, but I loved to see Nintendo’s tech on London and Madrid.
Already throw away all inequalities (I loved Amiibo MII outfits), as well as a host of new people (Labo control, anyone?) And no wonder it is eight years to come with a sequel. – Gavin Lane
- Standout track: Bone-Drawa Tibba, Mount Wario, Yoshi’s island (DLC)
- Funny facts: As of 31 March 2025, it has sold 68.2 million copies and is the best selling game in the switch – it is 59.74 million copies more than the origin sold on Wii U, although MK8 was also He Bestseller of the system.
- What does Mario Cart World take from this? In some ways it seems that the completion of MK8D, like the end of the street for the old-style Mario carts on self-contained tracks, inspired Nintendo to push the circuit beyond the boundary of the circuit in a big world. You can also say a Mario Cart W. *Blue shell explosion*

And it updates us! … or does it do it? In fact, Mario Cart has some byways to travel before hitting the highway in the Cart World. Next week join a lap of honor, where we take a quick look at the side-game and also night in the Mario Cart series.
