A timeless design applied to Bluetooth speaker

Marshal is showing control of the top of Vobern III.

    Tyler Hes / How-to Geek

Once you see the line of Marshal’s Bluetooth speaker, it is difficult to see it away. The company took its popular guitar Emps and turned them into consumer speakers. Vobern III, due to its size, is perhaps the most prestigious version. You need to inspect the top to see if there is a fourth inch input, which will indicate whether it is actually a device amp.

Physical controls not only play in beauty, they are also a major discrimination among the Bluetooth speaker. Usually, you get rubber button or touch control. Here, enough knobs make it easy to arrive for volume and feel that you are crank it.

By that end, these are some of the best controls I have used on the consumer-level Bluetooth speaker. When you increase the volume on your phone, the volume indicator increases over the speaker. Similarly, when you turn on the knob on Vobern III, the volume of your phone changes.

The speaker has inputs for RCA and HDMI behind the speaker. The top has a 3.5 mm input. The having many connection options is a bit of a rareness, but there is a welcome treatment for those who want to use this speaker for many things, not just music streaming from your phone.

    Sound is large, but controlled

Marshal is showing its portable design behind Vobern III.

    Tyler Hes / How-to Geek

Under the surface, Vobern III is a power plant of sound. It has a five-driver array hidden behind the front grille. There are a 90W (Class D) Woofer, two 15W Mids and two 15W tweeters. The speaker can be loud, as you can expect. Its ported design means that even songs you were not expecting Rumble, they have a good, breathing, low-end sound. The speaker can barely punch.

I had a difficult time to find the appropriate time to completely crank the volume and test its borders. It was either very loud for my family when they were home or for my neighbors at other times. It is a kind of speaker that will do great work for small business owners with more space that they need to fill. Residents of the apartment will need to be vigilant.

In terms of sound quality, I was completely affected every time when I used Vobern III. By default, the sound is warm and full, set to 50%with bass and traables. The bass collides with bumps, but is still balanced. For those who like to control EQ, you can change the bass and triple from the knobs on the speaker. Using the mobile app available for iPhone and Android, you get even more control on the more frequency bands. I liked the default sound enough in all types of styles, that I did not make much mess with those settings.

I appreciated that, from within the app, you can tweek the sound profile, where it is being used, it can be adjusted. For example, if Vobern III is being used on the edge of a table or next to a wall, it can automatically adjust its acoustic characteristics.

Close to RCA and HDMI ports on Marshal Vobern III.

    Tyler Hes / How-to Geek

I added a U-turn record player using the RCA port behind the speaker, and it did a great job. In fact, using Vobern III as a turnteable speaker can be a matter of ideal use. Beyond its excellent sound, its classic, vintage design possibly matches the aesthetics for which you are leaving. But the speaker is sufficient to push a button and stream music from your phone.

    Compared to Stanmore III

Help me if you are sold on a martial home speaker, but small Stanmore III and Vobern III. I have used both. Stanmore III is sufficiently loud for a bedroom, minor living room or office setting. It has a great bass sound and excellent clarity. It has RCA connections for use with a record player, and has adjustable bass and traced knobs for physical control. This should be a default option for most people.

However, if you want the most possible speaker without losing a timeless design, then Vobern III may be for you. If you plan to connect the speaker to the TV, it also has an HDMI connection. Stanmore III lacks this port.

Should you buy martial Vobern III?

    Tyler Hes / How-to Geek

Marshal Vobern III is an excellent wireless (or wired) speaker. For its crisp, clear audio to its designer beauty, it is difficult to find a mistake with it. Although there are some ideas. There is no battery, so you cannot move the speaker around during use. There is also no Wi-Fi, so if a video disrupts your music stream, everyone gets to hear it. Similarly, I question how many people will need HDMI connections or they want.

The room has $ 580 value or $ 600 depending on the choice of elephant color in the room. It is an expensive speaker. Due to its power and versatility, however, it is not out of the line with other big speakers. This would be a better value. If you use it in many ways, then connect it to many devices.

Therefore, if you are looking for a single speaker that can be used for a host of use, then Vobern III may be that one to do it all. If you are fine with a small option, which lacks HDMI, I will give a look at Stanmore III. This big, breath bass department is also not dull.
