    Maxranger4k Solar: One-minute review

Maxranger4K is an ideal smart safety camera for homes with large areas to monitor solar monitor.

Thanks to the 250 meter range of the hub, and solar panels that help to increase the battery life of the cameras, it is easy to install and maintain the security camera scene of your home space.

The rugged IP66 design of the maxranger4k means that it should face dust and rain, as well as it is the underlying light and the sirens act as a low subtle alert for any intruders that they are being caught in 4K.

Low technology lover app and camera will appreciate the simplicity of the installation process. All the instructions come in the box and it was so easy to follow that my cameras were up and recording in some time.

Although there are some shortcomings. While a single maxranger4k solar camera costs $ 129.99 / £ 199.99 / AU $ 399.95, add to the cost of the hub, and the cheapest starting price is $ 399.99 / £ 499.99 / AU $ 949.95 for a bundle of two cameras.

Nevertheless, on the plus side, there is no premium subscription option that removes the necessary features – only a few additional benefits that I have managed happily. In addition, I have found that most of the needs include more than 64GB local storage, so you will not miss cloud storage.

Apart from the cost, knowing about something else is the sensitivity settings of the camera. If high and deployed to see the “high traffic” area, you can get out of the camera charge in a few weeks. Some tests and error will be required, which will require to find the balance of settings that meet your safety needs, while your cameras allow constant charging along with continuous charging.

Overall, however, I have been powerful affected by the Maxranger4 camera system. This is definitely more reliable than my cheap cameras.

    Maxranger4K Solar: Price and Availability

The cost of a maxranger4k solar camera is $ 129.99 / £ 199.99 / AU $ 399.95. However, as mentioned, it requires a hub to arrive, which is available with only two, three or four cameras bundles.

    The bundle will set you $ 399.99 / £ 499.99 / AU $ 949.95, £ 649.99 / AU $ 1,329.95, and $ 599.99 / £ 799.99 / AU $ 1,699.95. At the time of writing, Swan’s US web store does not offer three-camera bundles.

These prices keep Maxranger4K in a higher premium tier of the home security system. However, savings come over time from the fact that you will not pay for premium membership.

There is a Swan Secure+ paid option for the benefit that includes an extended warranty, priority support, some cloud storage and alert to differentiate between cars, people, pets and package delivery.

It seems useful, although I never felt the need to subscribe during my test, and remain an independent user throughout the time – something that I can’t say for some other home security tech I have tested. For example, my blink cameras can be used without payment without subscription, but using blink cameras if you pay is definitely very smooth.

    Maxranger4k Solar: Design and Performance

Each camera is designed with an array of equipment to make a home safety champion.

The 4K image sensor, with your wide 105-degree viewing angle, not only allows you to record what is happening in a large space, but also to return and make details. This color also records at night vision, allows you to look at the footage in more detail.

In addition, the True detect sensor uses heat and speed to determine the difference between people, vehicles and other disturbances. Looking through its own recording, the camera did a great job to properly label each activation.

Apart from this, there is also a microphone, so you can lift the audio to add further reference to your clip. This is not correct, but it can pick up the bits of conversation if close to folk cameras – some of my clips are orchestrated by Birdsong, which flow through a pleasure through them!

If the maxranger4k solar detects something, you can rely on its underlying sirens and speakers to make a loud noise to scare the intruders in any way or to shout at them through your phone. A pair of spotlights brings clarity to your late night motion detection.

After saying this, I have actually closed these features through the app (more on it in a moment), as they can prove an annoyance for neighbors.

Finally, this camera is designed to act through rain and brightness. With its IP66 water and dust-proof rating, it should also continue to perform through torrential rains, while its inherent solar panel will charge your Maxranger4K solar.

The warning for that permanent solar energy is clearly how often your camera is activated, and how often the sun makes an appearance. I have a camera that only records my garden, and another one who points on the road where I park my car. The garden camera triggers very rarely and hence its battery has gone quite well.

Meanwhile, the street-view camera triggers more often, which catches every car driving the past. I set it in a deep month and initially did not have the default detection settings tweet; It went out of charge after a few weeks.

Ever since I recharged it, its sensitivity has tuned the settings, and finding that it is prolonged for a long time – especially now, in the numbered months.

The last part of your Maxranger4K solar system is its hub. This box sits in your home and is the device with which your cameras communicate. It can connect with cameras 250 meters away from him.

It comes with 64GB storage (which is expandable) for recording, and it also has an underlying battery, so even if you lose power for a while, it can continue recording for five hours.

    Maxranger4k Solar: Software

To manage your safety camera system, you use the Swan Security App on your phone-one-stop shop from where you can accommodate your Maxranger4K solar settings, and you rely on any other Swan Home Security Tech.

Working through various tabs to right to right, the first three are quite straightforward. Activities show you the frequency of alerts throughout the day and last week; Playback is for your day-to-day collection of clips recorded; And the live view lets you see the current scene from your cameras.

Then there are mode. Here you can manually accommodate your recording settings between home, night and distant options, which you can adapt to this suit that you want to act in different circumstances to your camera system.

When facilities like sirens and lights came on the basis of settings, the ability to replace it would have been welcomed, but you can simply change which cameras are active and their sensitivity. You can choose a setting at a time or set a schedule that automatically adjust the mode on the basis of day time.

Finally, the device tab allows you to accommodate your camera settings, detection zones (so a camera will only record if it detects something in specific parts of your view), alarm settings (whether siren and lights on or not) and the camera time field, so your recording can be logged into correctly.

You can also manage how your recording is stored from the app. I have set my camera automatically to remove the recording that is more than 30 days old, but you can set a different interval – either one, three, seven, 14 or 90 days – or when your storage is filled, it automatically reflects the old clip.

Overall, the app is super intuitive knowledge, and set everything through it proved to be simple using the instructions in the box.

You really get what you pay for, and while the maxranger4k cameras are expensive, I found that they are more reliable than better quality and cheap options.

    design

It is difficult to find a mistake with the design of these cameras. They rotate safety features, a relatively strong design and a suit of a solar panel that helps to increase their battery life.

    Display

Generally Maxranger4K does a good job of capturing fairly high quality footage. However, it can be in charge if you leave it on too much sensitivity. If you live near a busy-east road or somewhere where there is a lot of activity, you may need to play with settings.

Swan security app is clean and comfortable. I just want to have more control over mode options, how do I want the cameras to work at different times of the day.

How I tested Maxranger4K Solar Security Camera

To understand how effective the Maxranger4k Solar Camera System is, I installed it for a few months at my home-to achieve a sense of recording capabilities and if its sunny-operated battery was organized.

I tested each of the various safety settings, however, to avoid harassing neighbors, I did not regularly put settings like alarm or light. I sure to check back on the captured footage, but you will see that I have not included any outside world in this review – mainly because I do not want to do docos myself, because I live within some notable features of my city.

While the box includes everything that you need to stick the Swan cameras in place, I rent my home, so I had to buy some fixtures that allow me to install the cameras for the drain, so that there is no harm. They work effectively – I have not fallen the camera either during the test.
