Meta’s Quest 3S is already quite valuable and this new drop in price makes it unbeatable

The Meta Quest 3S is a great entry point into the world of virtual reality. According to ZDNET managing editor Kerry Wan, who reviewed the device in 2024, it is superior to the Quest 2, offering several improvements in “performance, capabilities, and user experience”. And, importantly, it’s cheaper than the $500 Quest 3 – especially since Amazon is offering a great deal on the headset in the lead up to Black Friday.

Too: The best Black Friday deals are live now

You can buy for a limited time meta quest 3s For $329 from retailer, $70 off. Not only this. You’ll also get a free copy of Batman: Arkham Shadow, an exclusive game for the Quest platform, and $49 of Amazon credit.

what’s great about meta quest 3s The thing is, it takes cues from the older generation and the Quest 3, and blends them together admirably. For example, it offers the same level of comfort as the Quest 2. It is made mainly of hard plastic and fabric, weighing around 514 grams. Its flexible, Y-shaped head strap allows free movement while sitting securely on your head. The Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset allows the device to load apps faster than its predecessor, stable frame rates, and two hours of battery life.

I also wanted to know about the $49 credit, as there are some important terms and conditions you should be aware of. First of all, this offer is only applicable to products sold directly by Amazon. Items from third-party sellers are not of quality. This offer does not apply to digital content and is valid only while supplies last. The promotional credit expires on April 14, 2026, so you have some time.

    How I evaluated this deal

According to ZDNET’s rating system, I give this deal a 2 out of 5. I forgot to mention that this deal includes a 3-month complimentary trial of Meta Horizon+, which is a subscription service that provides access to over 40 games. So, you get a lot of value from this purchase. If you’re considering moving to VR or upgrading from an older model, I suggest taking advantage of the bundle while it’s available.
