Microsoft is rolling a configuration update designed to address a known problem, failing the Windows update on some Windows 11 systems.
The KB5062324 update Windows 11 version is available for 24h2 devices that are yet not applied to the May Windows Non-Squritity Previews updates or later updates.
The company said, “This Windows configuration addresses a problem in update Windows that can cause scans for Windows updates to prevent response. Windows should allow Windows to complete Windows updates by restarting.” Assistant document Updated today.
“A permanent resolution for this issue May Windows Non-Squirting Prequuits updates (KB5058499) and later update. We recommend installing the latest updates for your device.”
People affected by this known issue can set the KB5062324 update by going to Settings> Windows updates and get the latest updates as soon as they are available. Next, restart Windows, and click ‘Check for Updates’.
However, since the update is gradually rolling for equipment around the world, you may have to try more than once.
