
Microsoft has introduced the Copilot mode, an experimental feature designed to convert Microsoft Edge into a web browser run by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
As the company explained on Monday, it replaces the interface of the new mode edge, with new tabs a single input box that adds chat, search and web navigation function.
Once Copilot mode Enabled, AI will be able to analyze all open browser tabs with a assistant user permission, comparing information and assisting with various tasks such as doing research on a holiday rent.
“With Copilot mode, you enable innovative AI features in your browser enhancing age. It only doesn’t wait for you to click, but it estimates what you want to do further. It doesn’t just give you an endless tab, but works with you as a colleague, which is all understandable,” Said Microsoft Edge VP of Product Sean Lyndersay.
“It keeps browsing you, cut through dislocation and removes friction to unlock your flow – all are designed for the highest Microsoft standards of reliable security, privacy and performance by billions of people and businesses worldwide – user is always under control.”
Copilot mode features natural voice navigation, which enables users to directly speak the copillot for tasks such as opening tabs or detection of webpage information.
Microsoft has planned to expand the capabilities of Copilot mode to include additional advanced tasks, such as booking reservation and managing tasks on behalf of users.

Redmund stated that the data collection policy follows the company’s privacy standards, allowing users to maintain control over how their information is shared through privatization settings.
Additionally, visual indicators will be displayed when the copilot is active, and users can turn off the feature through their browser settings.
“Your browser data will be handled and preserved according to the Microsoft privacy statement, and when looking or listening to the copilot, there will always be clear, visual signs on your browser.”
“With Copilot Mode, you can also choose to turn on and off the fans through your edge settings. If you do not want to turn the Copilot mode, you can continue to browse on the edge as usual.”
Copilot is independent for limited time as opt-in feature in all Copilot marketEspecially on the edge for Windows and MAC systems.
