Microsoft Now applies MFA on Azure Portal Sine-in for all tenants

Microsoft says that it has been applying multiformer authentication (MFA) for Azure Portal Sine-in in all tenants since March 2025.

In May 2024, the company’s Azure MFA enforcement efforts were announced when Redmond began to implement the compulsory MFA for all users signed in Azure to administer resources.

A year ago, in August 2024, Microsoft also warned Entra Global Admins to enable MFA for its tenants by October 15, 2024, to ensure that users do not have to lose access to the administrator portal.

After completing the rollout For Azure portal sign-in, the company will start applying MFA on Azure CLI, Powershell, SDK and API To protect users’ accounts against attacks in October 2025.

“We are proud to announce that in March 2025, the multiformer enforcement for the 100% of the Azure tenants was rolled out for the Sine-in,” Microsoft Said On Friday.

“By applying the MFA for azure sign-in, we want to provide you the best security against cyber threats as part of Microsoft’s commitment to increase security for all customers, carrying a step closer to a more secure future.”

These changes follow the November 2023 announcement that Microsoft soon for users on all cloud apps, as well as all cloud apps users for users of Microsoft Administrator (including Entra, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure) while signing the need for all admirers while signing a mafa for all admissions while signing the mafa. Will roll

As part of this attempt to promote MFA adoption, Microsoft-owned Jethb has begun to implement two-factor authentication (2FA) for all active developers starting in January 2024.

A Microsoft Study From two years ago, it was found that 99.99% of accounts protected by MFA successfully prevent hacking efforts and MFA also reduces the possibility of account agreement by 98.56%, even when the attackers try to use the theft.

“Our goal is 100 percent multiformer authentication,” Identification Safety Safety Alex Wenart’s former Microsoft VP Said Those days. “Given that formal studies show that multitormer authentication reduces the risk of account acquisition more than 99 percent, each user who certifies should do this with modern strong certification.”
