Recently, rumors began to air that another handheld gaming PC with an AMD chip under the MSI hood was releasing. It turns out that those rumors were completely true, as the company has unveiled a new 8-inch handheld with full name MSI Claw A8 Bz2m.
The new gaming handheld has a powerful AMD Ryzen Z2 extreme processor, an AMD Radeon 890m and 24GB RAM. The release came on the market about six months after the Intel-based version of the company’s gaming handhald.
Certainly, these are the mobile versions of those chips, but it still makes MSI Paw A8 BZ2M a viable steam deck option that is worth keeping an eye on coming out of Computex 2025.
Other notable glasses include an 8-inch display with 1080p resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rates, VRR and up to 500 NITs. The M.2 2280 SSD in various sizes available for rapid loading time is SSD.

The 80WH battery is another standout feature. The original steam deck had a 40Wh battery, and the steam deck OLED has a 50Wh cell. It should provide too much juice to run in the large hand of MSI. Of course, we have to test to see how good the battery life is, but it sounds promising.
Unfortunately, while a group of information about the new MSI steam deck contestant was declared, not pricing and availability.
