DJI has taken Power 1000 and put it in a chassis which is slightly heavy, slightly stronger, and with a slightly better airflow than its predecessor. The battery is upgraded and will now maintain 80% capacity after 4000 cycles (power 1000 cells will be below 70% after the same number of cycles).

Power 1000 V2 is supplied to a tough, fire-retardant polymer shell that can support up to a ton static load, and like the earlier version, SGS in Switzerland has a lab-defense by SGS in how well it knocks, bumps, crushing and vibrations.

Port loadout is the same. There are two 140W maximum USB-C ports, combined with two 24W Max USB-A ports, a SDC and SDC light port is used for drone battery (with alternative charge cable), and for an AC inlet, it creates an ideal power station for modern workload.

And it is calm. Only on 26DB, around the sound level of a whisper, the unit is a small loud compared to its predecessor, but is still perfect for running things around the sleeping humans. It is one of the most cool power stations in the market.

I have been using power 1000 V2 for several weeks, and I like it, especially for money. Power 1000 V2 in the UK is cheaper than Power 1000 here (£ 629 vs £ 699, approximately $ 850 vs $ 950).

The only problem is that readers in the US cannot get their hand on V2 because those who seem to have regulatory issues, which is a shame. But there is a bright side for all this, and the fact that you can still get the first generation power 1000, and in my books it is a great power station for price.
