NASA’s next four-individual Astronaut crew has entered quarantine with being ready for launch. On July 17, 2025, NASA pilot Nick Hague and Mission expert Thomas Pesquet (ESA) and Alexander Grebenkin (Roscinkin) started a two-week health-refraction protocol at Johnson Space Center in Johnson Space Center at Crew-11 Team-Houston under the leadership of NASA astronaut Zena Cardman (Commander). This “health stabilization” or quarantine period is a regular, apollo-era practice so that the crew and station remain free from disease. The crew will continue the final training before the visit to the Kennedy Space Center, with a launch now the target (not before 31 July) in the end of July 2025.
Pre -corruption and training
According to NASA Government placeThe crew will spend about 14 days before limiting, separate, out -of -the -heed, out -of -union before the liftoff and undergoing medical screening. NASA notes This prevents any pre-launch diseases from influencing the spaceflight or the International Space Station (ISS) crew. The last major milestone is one of the last major milestones before the quarantine launch. In the earlier months, cardman, Hague, Pacquette and Grebenkin trained in Houston, Florida and California – by blowing the crew dragon simulator in Hothorn, to practice Escape drills in CA, Launch Complex 39A. The targeted launch window has not been determined before the end of July 2025, with liftoff from LC -39A of the Kennedy Space Center to send the crew -11 Dragon Spacecraft to the ISS.
Mission observation and scientific research
Crew -11 will support a six -month science campaign on ISS. As part of NASA’s commercial crew program, the crew of SpaceX continued to provide reliable, cost -effective access to the station, carrying four astronauts for long -term missions and maintaining the supplement of the ISS crew.
The research agenda of the mission is widespread. The experiments include biotechophage checks as an alternative to the plant cell division study of algae and tobacco cells, antibiotics (genes in space), and biotech projects to increase stam cells (stamsellax) and on-demand vitamins (bionutrates) in orbit. These and other ISS studies aim to pursue human health and life support for future discovery.
