NASA Plus is an independent, advertising streaming service created by NASA that publicly provides easy access to its live coverage, original chain and educational materials. So far, it is only available through selecting website, mobile apps and streaming devices. But starting this summer, the dedicated live channel of the Space Agency will officially become part of the growing lineup of Netflix’s live content.
This means that the Netflix users will be able to stream the real -time rocket launch, the astronaut spacewalk, the earth’s view from the ISS, and other major events of NASA directly within the platform. You can also expect many live streams running together with vomiting and HD coverage. While Netflix has not confirmed the exact launch date of NASA Plus channel, he has indicated that more programming details “will appear in Tudum in the coming weeks.”
I think this is so good and really exciting step for both NASA and Netflix. For NASA, this is a great way for a very comprehensive audience to find space, especially people who cannot go out of their way to download a different app or follow the online mission updates.
For streaming giants, this is a smart move as they create their live programming. The space material is stunning, and so I am confident that it will bring something completely different to the normal lineup. The purpose of this unique cooperation is to bring miracles of space exploration directly on your screen, no spacesuit is required.
