‘Straw’ (2025)
Tyler Perry is not a stranger for emotionally charged story and his latest film, GrassThere is no exception. Taraji p. Henson acted as Janayah, a single mother barely caught it together. Her already devastating day takes a terrible turn when she goes to the bank to take her final salary, only to walk in the middle of an armed robbery.
Although she makes it alive, the struggle of Janyah is over. When the bank refuses to cache his check, he is unable to buy medicine for his daughter, it becomes the last straw. There is nothing left to lose, he takes a desperate stand, holding the bank and its residents hostage.
Among the trapped people is a teller (Sherri Shepherd) who begins to see the fear and sympathize with the frustration of Janiya. Meanwhile, Detective Raymond (Tayana Taylor) led the conversation, assured that there is no threat, but a mother has crossed her border. As the deadlock increases and the stake becomes elevated, a question: How far can a woman be pushed before everything breaks?

‘The Wild Robot’ (2024)
While The Wild Robot did not take home to this year’s Oscar for the best animated features (“Flow”), it made a place in the headlines completely. The treasure of this Dreamworks thanked me as a daily performance of Lupita Nyong ‘, a robot, a robot that was navigating people who were the joys of paternity and heartbreak. Blind, it is also a knockout, with animation that rivals the movies “Spider-Wors” in both style and ambition.

‘Barbarian’ (2022)
If you are in the mood of a horror flick, “barbaric” is one of the most disturbing I have seen over the years. “Black Mirror” actress Georgina Campbell proves her screaming Queen Chops as Tess Marshal, a young woman who is the head of Detroit for an interview for a job, only to reach her AirBNB and shows that it has been double-book. The neighborhood is an even larger red flag, filled with buildings falling into pieces and practically deserted.
Despite her tendency, otherwise, Tes reluctantly agrees to stay at night with her unplanned housewife, Keith (Bill Scarsguard). Naturally, things are spiral from there. Both expose the path of a hidden basement that leads to a bad dream of tunnels. But the real horror manifests herself as a frightening, wild woman, who resides in the dark, changes her stay in a difficult battle to live overnight.
